Better than what? We don’t even know what’s going on, it’s only media reporting he “could” leave. That sounds like it’s coming from Hendo’s side if anyone’s because the club would be daft to leak that sort of thing as it would make them look bad.

This is much ado about nothing. I’m no fan of FSG but this isn’t them trying to shaft anyone. Henderson will be here this coming season and be our captain.

He has two years left of a very lucrative contract - he is already been rewarded for what he has done for the club and when his two years are up he will be on the same sort of contract that Milner moved too  - yearly or two year extensions

I think if Hendo had just a year left on his deal I'd see it as an issue. As it is, he's 31, has two years left on his contract and there is plenty of football still to play. It's difficult to say will happen in that time, although I hope (and expect) with Hendo being the engine and character that he is that he will stay beyond that time in one capacity or another.

My main hope is that these decisions are largely left to the manager to make. If for example the Gini decision was taken out of the manager's hands, well and truly, then that would be an issue in the same way that it would for any senior player.

As you imply the suggestion that Hendo puts dosh first is ludicrous, this vital servant to LFC deserves better.

A story which has clearly been leaked by Henderson’s side, I doubt he will be going anywhere but it’s clear to see from the Gini stance that the club won’t be pushed into a corner with someone wanting a final pay off pension.
He has hardly been a regular every season due to his injury record so to expect the club to give him a huge hike would be a bit irresponsible.

No player is irreplaceable some are just harder to replace although I doubt Henderson falls into that category.

He knows which side his bread is buttered and will be here for the future.
