It doesn't matter if you rate Hendo as world class, good or a poor player, it doesn't matter if you think he should be captain or not, but deep down, every supporter knows Hendo was the player that deserved to lift a major trophy more than any other player imo. Very happy for him!

This has to be one of my fave pics!

Class that! Reminds me of that old one of Joe Fagan by the poolside :D

Over the moon for Hendo. Really deserved to lift it.

Hughes, Thompson, Souness, Gerrard, Henderson. Not a bad club he’s just joined is it!!

Never stopped running last night, plenty of tackles and pressing, brilliant to see one of the nice guys lift the trophy, really happy for our skipper.

I am  just  so proud  of the lad.
Despite so  many ex players supporting him and managers picking him some on here doubted him.
Well check out the big shine  Cup he is holding on the bus today

Does anyone have the video of Hendo hugging his dad probably after the match? It was probably one of the strongest emotion I have ever seen in a football field.

Edit - I found it. Not sure how to link Twitter video, but if anyones interested, below is the link -

Amazing clip. His dad has been battling cancer and got to see his boy lift the European Cup as captain.

      Doesn’t get better than that

I want to apologise to this man.

Football aside the pure passion from this lad at the final whistle made me rethink my whole stance on the kid.

He would run through brick walls for this club and if that isn't captiancy material then I don't know what is.

Please forgive me Hendo for doubting your abilities to lead us because you proved me wrong.

Me too - after that Sevilla game I wanted him gone forever.

You can see the emotion in his face lifting that Cup up and when he met his father was such a beautiful moment. I cant pick out one player in the final or the season we have become a very well balanced team.

Just been looking at some of the squad training pics and was enjoying the look of happiness/pride on Jordan's face. To me a bit more self belief also.

After lifting big ears, i reckon we're going to see an even better year from him, playing wise and hopefully lifts a few more trophies.

Don't think he's ever been short of self belief mate, quite the opposite.

Talk of Lallana playing No6 next season means Hendo will be playing further up field which obviously suits his game better.

Bad choice of words mate. I meant the self belief in as driving with the ball more which will hopefully bring more shots and goals, especially if playing further up field as HScRed has just mentioned.

Anyway, I can feel a very good playing year for our captain on the way and for the team  :soccer_h4h:
