Like Spain/Barcelona or not, I think its brilliant to see a long term plan paying dividends in football, and their teams are showing it. You can see its not a matter of luck they've won so much stuff recently, its clearly a clever work that starts from an early age

number 3, whoever he is for Spain is gonna get a bollocking at FT. He just about played him onside in an otherwise good example of the offside trap.

      Welbeck! 1-1

Not really deserved to say the least, Spain were by far the better side but paid the price for not killing the game when they had the chance. Failed offside trap it seems

Anyway as I was saying I remember the World Cup 98, Spain had some great footballers, it was one of Real Madrid's better years, yet the Spanish team got knocked out in the group stage, their game had no fluency, no identity, its amazing to see how things changed and now they are the benchmark in world football

It looked offside seeing a replay.  Poor defending though.

      3 minutes added on.

3 equally good players on the pitch for me: Martinez, Mata and Kyle Walker.

Switzerland currently 2-0 up against Iceland.

I watched their match against Denmark on Sunday and the commentators were going on about one of the Swiss players being a very good prospect.  Can't for the life of me remember who it was though.

Ooh, bit of harsh reffing then, Swiss lad slipped and fell on the ball, and the ref booked him for handball.

Looked good again. He's a nice prospect, maybe next summer will be looking for a move to a big club.

Only managed to catch the last 20 minutes unfortunately, and the Swiss were cruising it.  Didn't see much of him to be honest.

Having said that they've just shown some highlights of him earlier on in the game and he looked pretty good.

Belarus go 1 up against Denmark, who come back immediately and win a penalty!

Penalty saved but Eriksen puts the rebound in.  1-1 after 21 minutes.
