It does look pretty bad ass. Still don't see why you'd remove the spoiler though.

From that answer Blood i take it you read Fast Ford magazine?. The Cosworth special edition magazine they brought out to celebrate 20 years of Cosworth did indeed state this, but all hardcore enthusiasts of the car know this is not true. The proof is at Tickford more than anything as it was them that were commisioned to build the cars.

Blood, with all due respect mate I know RS500's inside out and the brand new Motorsport shell I have was bought from my mate Paul Linfoot, who is one of the registrars of the RS500 Owners Club. 500 Cosworths went to Tickford for the 500 conversion, not 496. If you have any queries regarding this matter then please go to his site here - http://www.rs500cosworth.com/2.html and the build list is displayed - all 500 cars were built at Tickford - all 500 of them. It is common thought that the 4 missing models went into storage after the homologation process, a nice little nest egg so to speak for certain people.
I'm not as knowledgeable as you lot But I always thought that a Minimum Build of 500 road going cars had to be made before any car went racing ?

Group A racing used to be 5000 cars with an evolution run of 500, hence the RS500 Cosworth was an evolution to be used for racing, rules for rallying excluded evolution versions so they stuck with the std Cosworth

My girlfriend's brother has a 1978 Maverick and it's f***in boss. I'm not a big fan of cars, and I don't even have a driver's license yet (I'm 24 :D), but his car is so cool it made me want to have one too, haha.

If I got the right link (can't check here at work), you should be able to see his car in the beginning of the videoclip of his band (he has a punk rock band!):

Can I speak of motorcycles here too? ;D
I'm seriously considering the idea of getting a Vespa. Does anyone like them? They look so nice.

Diego, I used to ride a motorcycle. Had a Harley Davidson Fat Boy. It was a 2002 and I got rid of it about 7 years ago. May be a cultural thing but here in the states we would consider the Vespa a "scooter". They do have a classic look though, I will concede that. If I were ever to start riding again I would probably try to build or buy a chopper. But I like things that are loud and offensive ;D

The best answer I can give you is.

Nice motor, spent a lot of my time working on various models of Cosworths over the years. Also had the pleasure of working on RS200's and more recently Fiesta WRC's

Yeah, you're right, "scooter" is the correct word. It's just that I'm not very familiar with any of that and its terminology. As I said, I don't even have a drivers license :D My girlfriend says it is about time I got my license and bought a car. I'm not sure. I would only like it if it was some different car. Then I thought of the cheaper option of a motorcycle. But I've always been a bit afraid of motorcycles, a lot more dangerous than cars. Finally I considered the idea of a scooter. I always liked Vespas, they remind me of the mods, of The Jam, and all that stuff I love ;D I guess people would find it a bit weird but hey, being weird is part of my life ;D

If I were to buy a non HD or HD based V-Twin it would be a Ducati. Just personal preference.
