Who was thelast player to move between the two clubs? I can only recall Ince and Owen even playing for both

It was a player from the 60s, Phil Chisnall, moved from the mancs to us.

Dont see how - just unsettling the skum and winding up wiskey nose is always worth it.

Yeah, but they are trying to get rid of him, its hardly like us bidding for Antonio Valencia.

I've been monitoring all your comments mate, you're a wum.

Yesterday you said that if we had Jack Rodwell he'd be our first choice central midfielder

Rodwell next to Lucas would be a fantastic future partnership for us with Henderson on the right or playing in a 3 man midfield.

You don't last at a club like United and play in the games O'Shea has done if you don't offer something to the team.

Like it or not O'Shea has done a quality job as a squad player in a range of positions for them and if he had been one of ours you'd see things differently.

I'm not so sure. O'shea has made a job out of being the worst of a good bunch. He has never set the world alight and I doubt he ever will. With regards to Rodwell, yes he has potiential - but with Henderson and Lucas still young and some great wingers & center mids coming through we really dont need him...

With you on all your points there mate except the bit about 'wingers coming through', the other areas you mention are adequately covered but 'wingers coming through' does not cover anything we need to get hold of wide men NOW.

You are right HR,it was Phil Chisnall and in the 1965 cup final it was a toss up between him and Geoff Strong who would play,Shanks made the correct decision and played Geoff Strong. Chisnall was with us for about 3 years but he never made the grade.
As far as O'Shea is concerned why would we want him and have people forgotten what happened with the Heinz saga and Ferguson and RAFA.

Didn't he have trials here when he was younger.
I think you are getting mixed up,he did not have a trial,he was on trial for fraud,it seems he was masquerading as a footballer. He was aquitted and finished up at Manure.

United have been able to spend big because they have subsidised their spending keeping and improving squad players like O'Shea. He might not have set the world alight but then he was never going to. He's been a solid servant for them and played 255 games for a team that were the Champions of England and Europe sadly.

I hate United as much as the next bloke but O'Shea is the kind of player that if he played for Liverpool would get all the respect in the world.

He's not a bad lad...from my town in Ireland. Played every position on the pitch except Howard Webb's. Never coming here.
