Great game that, hope Bilbao win it, I haven't watched any Atletico games so far in the Europa. Would be weird if they win!

I'd love us to face them next season, see how we would fair.

I know a lot of people talk about Bilbao losing their best players, but I think I read somewhere that Bilbao has tax breaks for the rich, so clubs would have to give these players a massive pay rise in order for them to earn elsewhere what they do in Bilbao.

In the case of Llorente that would probably rule us out? He seems to find the competition quite important though with his reaction to winning the game last night. Quite different to how sh*t clubs like Spurs feel about it.

True but the difference between Spanish and English youngsters are quite frightening. With no offence to Jay Spearing but I believe he is around the same age as Martinez and Martinez is much the better player. We do have some great youngsters but we need to bring them into the first team squad NOW otherwise the likes of Sterling and Suso may never realise their potential.

Only saw the first half of Atletico - Valencia yesterday, but it seems to me that the EL semi's are much more interesting (or at least show better football) than the CL semi's!

It's been said before that the UEFA Cup was harder to win as the teams in it are on there way up and are trying harder whereas the European Cup was just for champions and the quality of the teams was already known to be high and often cancelled each other out.
Now there can be 30pts difference between 1st and 4 in the Prem yet both teams qualify for the same tournament !

Really pleased for Athletic, for their fantastic fans and for Bielsa. I hope that it doesn't break up in the summer , with Bielsa and the likes of Javi Martinez likely to go. What a contrast to the team under Clemente in the 80's which the phrase anti football was invented for.

You'd want to be careful how you put your bet on for that final.

I feel really happy for Bielsa, and will be cheering for him in both finals his team is gonna play this season. It would be historic success to win both of them, although very difficult.

I've been talking about Bielsa for a while now, even suggested him for the Liverpool job when Rafa left, so it pleases me a lot to see him do well in Europe. He's a guy who loves football and never abandon his philosophy.
