McClaren is as good as a chocolate radiator. To be fair, Israel have been very poor so he can afford to take Gerrard off. Let's hope there's no after affect on his toe. Apparently it was cramp that Gerrard had.

Alonso straight red in the first half, think the 2nd half has just kicked off.

Just seen the Everton line up for the match against Man Utd.
As usual Tim Howard has played his ace and decided he's not fit and Everton hand Stefan Wessels his debut in goal.

I'm hoping for a bad tempered draw in this battles of the gobshites.

A messy 0-0 with a couple of injuries will do nicely in that one.

Chelsea just had a goal disallowed - so could they be about to lose two points to a ref's (assistant) decision?

What comes around certainly does go around and I'm glad it did so soon!

Still can't believe Spurs threw that lead away today and conceded three goals. You'd think if any game they would have liked to make a cause to get back on top of their form, it would be against their biggest local rivals.

Manchester United have suffered a blow after learning that Mikael Silvestre will miss the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Silvestre, 30, was stretchered off just before half-time in Saturday's 1-0 win at Everton after collapsing in pain.

Defender Silvestre's appearances have been limited this season because of Patrice Evra's good form.

But his injury leaves United short of defensive cover at left-back following Gabriel Heinze's move to Real Madrid.

It is also the latest in a series of knee injuries to hit the Old Trafford camp.

Park Ji-Sung and England keeper Ben Foster are both at different stages of recovery from cruciate ligament surgery, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced his retirement this month after failing to recover from a long-term knee complaint.

John O'Shea is also out after sustaining an injury on Republic of Ireland duty last week, while youngsters Gerard Pique and Johnny Evans are likely to be among Ferguson's squad when United open their Champions League campaign against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal on Wednesday.

I don't like seeing career threatning injuries to any player - so I wish him a full recovery, albiet a very slow recovery.
Now wouldn't it be nice for a few more defensive injuries for old whiskey nose.

Actually you do - you just don't feel it at the time. You just wake up after and wonder how the f*** those bruises got there.

According to The Mirror, Michael Owen was ready to rip them apart. What happened there?
Looks like that 6-0 thrashing kicked Derby into action.  :D

Man utd come up againest Chelsea this Sunday, at Old Trafford, that isn't it, unless Chelsea are playing a suprize game with the Manc's, Drogba and Frank Lampard have been ruled out.
If Chelsea can't get three points at the Bridge againest Rosenberg without their stars then I don't know what chances they have of going to Old Traf and getting a point is. Why does Man U have to get Chelsea at their weakest, which now they will compare the matches between when we played Chelsea at home and when they play Chelsea at home.

One red card - unfortunately United made the most of it.

Very strange that Ferguson played Rooney and Ronaldo? I thought you were supposed to rest your best players after a European game. :f_whistle:
