Since when did Liverpool fans start slagging off players slag of poor performances but not the players themselves.

Well let's see....just on this forum there are examples of Liverpool fans slagging off owners, managers and other fans so I don't why you are so surprised that they are slagging off players as well.

Been told he can leave the club for offers of around £5 million, according to Tony Barrett.

Walton the fat jokes are just in humour, don't think anyone believes he's over weight, Adam for me is a good player, but that's his problem, good players should be playing at Aston Villa, Newcastle, Wigan etc.

At Liverpool we should strive for excellence and in recent years in terms of transfering players in, this summer included, we've failed miserably at that.

With the exception of Suarez we haven't signed one player that we would genuinely class as world class since Rafa was sacked.

Rafa signed Reina (not world class at the time but cetainly now) Morientes (was world class but didn't work out here), Alonso (not world class at time, but soon became aparent he would be) Mascherano (wasn't world Class at the time but as above) Torres (To me was world class, just needed. a bigger stage to show it) Aurelio (was a world class LB in my opinion, just injury prone), Skittles (maybe not world class but he's threatening to be), Johnson (maybe not world class but threatening to be one of the best attacking full backs around)

      Frankly, Mr Shankly

He isnt fat that was thrown at Carrol too.The fitness team wouldnt let him go near the first team if he was over weight.
I just dont get the anti Charlie posts what is it he had odne which is worse than Downing Henderson or Carrol baring in mind he cost nothing compared to them.
I hope he stays we need good players and he is a good player.
Wonder how Joe Allen wil fare, like Charlie he had lots of praise playing for his last club .Maybe Charlie is a big fish small pond player some people cant handle playing for Liverpool.
Since when did Liverpool fans start slagging off players slag of poor performances but not the players themselves.

We've all had our criticisms of Charlie but in the end, he was and is a better buy than the likes of Henderson, Downing and on a par with Carroll. I definitely know what you mean by "good player".

You can sign world class players but you have to back them up with good players in reserve. For me Rafa was sensational at buying class players but terrible at finding "good" players. I persist that the likes of Kyriagkos and N'Gog, for example, were two of the worst buys I have ever seen at this club. The mind boggled with Kyriagkos especially.

Kyriagos was bought because we had no money - Turner was lined up apparently until the money was taken away

RE Sotiris, If I remember rightly (I'm canny pissed) Rafa wanted Shawcross, but our owners would only release £2m or there abouts, hence we got Soto.

Can't really fault Rafa's signings when we were robbing Peter to pay Paul and making him deal with clubs that owed us money, Pompey (Johnson), Aquilani (Roma), and when it came to N'Gog, don't think we'd be having this conversating if he was allowed the funds for Jovetic.

No more Charlie please, Slow, poor set pieces, lazy, and for a player who is supposed to be a good passer he has really poor decision making.  Sick of his glory shots and glory long balls!

Glory shots - he went through on goal saw an opening and had a dig......WTF is wrong with that?

Yes he is slow - we knew that when we signed him - were you waiting for him to develop some kind of Usain Bolt sprint?

If our movement wasnt so sh*t last night and we didnt have to keep turning back and passing to Agger then the so called "glory balls" may have worked if he had players running where they should have been.....into space.

F**k me the poor lad must have killed someone.

Far worse players on the pitch last night than Charlie.

Posters like you do my F***ing head in - no though whatsoever.

Just my thoughts on the player, maybe I'm a bit harsh on him because i think he's a poor player. Just wish he'd give more simple balls when a long ball isn't on.

What did you think of his corners for a set piece specialist?

No need to be so aggressive either, It's a forum of peoples opinions.

Some of his corners were good others were not.

Being a "specialist" at dead ball situations doesnt mean you score with everyone you know, does Ronaldo, Messi or that tw*t Beckham - what r u expecting seriously? And is it his fault that others labelled him that like pundits and fans.

I haven't been all that impressed with Charlie since he joined us but I actually thought he was quite good last night. This could, of course be down to the level of opposition but I'm not going to slate him for the sake of it, he played pretty well.

I found myself chuckling at 6am in the morning at Charlie. I am beyond taking the lad seriously as a footballer anymore the last 15 minutes Charlie looked like he needed a F***ing oxygen tank. He's physical shape is appalling and at times embarrassing for a pro footballer.

      Hope we get rid asap.

Although I thought he played well, I can't disagree with that. He looked knackered before the first half was out.

I wish I could remember who it was but I'm sure when we signed him, I recall reading a bit of a review of him from an ex player (or possibly just a journo) saying that when Charlie isn't playing on a regular basis, he tends to pile on weight and gets out-of-shape quickly. It then takes him a good run of games to get back to match fitness before you see the best of him.

Charlie Adam was an awful signing by the club should never have being anywhere near Liverpool.

I would love to see the scouting report for him. Because all the flaws people are talking about now I was posting in Jan 2011 .

Any one with an understanding of the game could have seen it.

Think comoli and Kenny used stats in the wrong way when deciding to sign him.

At least signing of sahin means no more Adam.

I doubt if Kenny would have needed stats.
Kenny Dalglish has the the footballing acumen and experience to recognise natural talent/skill instinctively, how many of these debateable signings did he make of his own accord?
Comolli had a say in them all and it's fair to say any deal would not have been sanctioned without the complicite support of both him and KD.

What is very odd is the fact that Kenny Dalglish had won trophies both at a player level and as a manager with different clubs, yet he was apparently dragged down by the lack of theoretical and practical footballing experience of Comolli.
Comolli was of course appointed by FSG, it can only be assumed that they wanted somebody they considered qualified to act in a responsible manner alongside Kenny - they were wrong every which way.

In time the truth will come out but I very much doubt that Kenny got involved with the details of transfer and probably only give his blessing to pursue targets. After that I imagine Comolli and Ayre agreed fees and salaries.

Who ever decided Adam was good enough for Liverpool made a shocking error. No need to take criticism of Kenny personal stuey. Even rafa made mistakes and he in my opinion is the best manager we had in a long long time.

The truth will emerge mate but it won't be from Kenny.
The man still won't discuss any details of the first time he sacrificed his job for his beloved LFC all those years ago.

No worries Corbs and you're right Rafa did make mistakes but the man himself would hold his hand up as Kenny would.
What I am saying is Kenny had to work with the input wanted or not of Comolli, then had to take all the sh*t for his  [Comolli's] faulted decisions, it is extremely doubtful FSG would question Comolli's decisions having previously put him in an authoritive roll.
That maybe another reason for them to sack Kenny off, their Comolli appointment was faulted from the word go, spreading blame was the order of the day.
