We bought Carroll and Henderson for 10 years, not for two years.

With the potential they've got, the prices would be nothing in the future.

To be fair. You have a point. If they do develop as expected they might be here for 10 years but if they don't they will be gone in fairly quick time. Football history is full of many players with massive potential rotting their heels in benches or failing completely to fulfill their potential for example a favorite player of mine, Gaizka Mendieta was a supremely talented player who failed at Lazio and never reached the promise he showed.
Ultimately performance matters more than potential and that is why J. Cole is in France and not over here.

I hope all the players feel as disgusted with this performance as we do and will be even more determined to show us it was a one off.
