Agree with corbally on the need for a centre-half, Soto and Ayala not good enough to cover for aging Carra and injury prone Agger.  Get Scott Dann in.

That was a poor display by a Liverpool team that. Defence looks poor for the third game on the bounce. And the casual approach by most of our players was horrible to watch. Second half has to be better.

We're missing the likes of Johnson, Skrtel and Agger. Not to mention the fact that this IS pre-season. The players still aren't fully fit, they still aren't completely sharp. Mistakes will be made. Prediciting our defensive fortunes on the back of three pre-season games, which have mostly been played with inexperienced players is wrong. We'll be fine.

We are unbelievably narrow in midfield. We urgently need another winger to stop us from being predictable, 1 in the squad is nowhere near enough.

Yes, besides the problem in defence we haven't solved our problem with lack of wingers. Downing alone won't be enough. We need 3 more players, I guess that is pretty obvious. LB, CB and winger. Yes, it is pre-season but we can't be conceding this many goals. And of course we need to get rid of deadwood ASAP.
