To be fair Kelly & Carra are in there as well, but it does raise a few eyebrows over Aquilani.

Saying that Adam was in a similar starting 11 for the last match.

Oh no, I meant that I thought he would stay mate. It was because he was included and Meireles wasn't.

I take it as Agger, Meireles and Shelvey are definitely in Kenny's plans and therefore needn't need a friendly to impress him ;)

This is a MUCH better run-out for the lads with a proper game played at pace in typical English style in front of a crowd that want their team to attack. Unfortunately the corporate need to go half-way around the world in pre=season means we don't get enough of these in the pre-season. Also a much better game to watch and judge a player like Aquilani.

I think it's about time we use those players who are part of our plan for the season... Players without future at the club should use their time finding new suitors rather than playing preseason games... Jova is using his time finding new club why can't others with similar stance as jova do the same thing.....?? I don't think it is fair on jova, he i not the only one who does not have a future at the club.... more playing time should be given to those whose future is at the club, in my opinion.....

Cole looks a step short doesn't he. Really hoped he might get that burst (he used to have it) back.

This starting line up is a mix up which isn't good. Sheer mediocrity mixed with young talent. It doesn't ever work.

It's so depressing to have so many mediocre players such as Cole, Rodriguez, Poulsen and N'gog. Our hoofball is unwatchable today:(
