"Reports in the Spanish media also claim Liverpool have secured a deal for the Albacete youngster Nacho, who had a successful trial with the club's under-18s earlier this month. The Spanish press say the Reds have paid £150,000 up front for the striker with a further £350,000 of potential add-ons, plus a 15% sell-on fee.

Villarreal, Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid and Málaga were all reportedly interested in the player."

      Also...online translation of http://canalalba.laverdad.es/noticias/2011-07-25/alba-negocia-liverpool-traspaso-20110725.html

"The Albacete Football is negotiating the transfer of the reserve one Nacho to the Liverpool English, in an operation that is being negotiated for several weeks and that would be able to be done official in the next hours if finally is reached the agreement among both clubs.

In fact, has been able to know 'The Truth', the young born footballer in Quintanar of the Order has been some days testing the British team and apparently the Liverpool would be interested the to buy from the player paying a quantity that has not transcended.

The negotiations have rapid in the last hours and during the weekend emissaries of the Liverpool they have travelled to Spain to close the acquisition of Nacho, that, like we indicated previously would be able to be done official in the next hours. In fact along the day of today it is expected that representatives of both clubs meet again.

By Nacho also the Villarreal has been interested, but seems that the English assembly has insisted more in its contracting and has placed more money on the table, for which its destiny seems to be in the British islands.

In this sense one should recall that the Villarreal also is interested in another youthful one, in this case Juanto, whose transfer is imminent, although yet has not done itself official. With the transfer of Nacho to the Liverpool they would be able to enter an interesting quantity that permit to the white club to breathe in the economic theme and to confront in this manner the season with a small mattress that leave him to breathe a little better."

He looks an decent player and the deal reminds me of when we signed Suso, a talented player coming from a mid level Spanish club, hopefully he can develop and become a good player. At any rate, we will make a profit on him if we ever decided to sell him.
