“We were a bit unlucky having watched the [Zagreb and Olympiakos] games again,” Wenger said. Then, alluding to a wider issue, Wenger continued: “When you don’t play at your best and your opponent is doped, it is difficult.”

      Doped?

Think one of the Zagreb players tested positive for an illegal substance.

Their atmosphere for what is a massively important fixture is horrendous.

Maybe that is either the ground, horrid bowl, or could be the only people who can afford those prises, are the suits, and not the true fans.

Maybe they can reintroduce the loud speakers they had when they developed the home stand at Highbury.

      But we can't talk.

I actually quite like the Emirates. It's an excellent modern stadium but like you say - their support doesn't quite do it at times. I just think that part of London is quite suburban, pleasant. There seems to be a general air of satisfaction about Arsenal fans. Not a criticism of them, just the nature of the support and the football club in general. It's all very...safe? There's nothing particularly toxic about Arsenal. I think they're a good side to watch (and I have a lot of respect for Wenger and what he has done at that club and for the league) and more or less I think we get on with most of their fans better than our other top rivals. But they just don't seem to be dreamers, more realists than idealists. Maybe that comes from a satisfaction of their constant status as a top 4 club, safe in the knowledge that theirs is such a well run club that their lows are never quite as low as others. Yet at the same time, they never reach the highs of the others.

Only seen the highlights but they did look good.

So many footballers that are a joy to watch and in my opinion one of the most under rated strikers in the league in Giroud. New it wouldn't be long before he got his place back from Walcott.

For what he is used for he's a really good striker. He holds the ball up, he brings other into play, he's great in the air and he's gotten better at the one-two's/give and go's inside the box.

I think he's a very good player and one I wouldn't mind having in our squad.

Teams are giving them too much respect. When they defend deep, they explode. Old whinger knows that and that's the very reason he will want the ball as far away as possible from his goal.

Totally demolished by Bayern in the CL. When Arsenal pinned back at their own box that's where they will crumble. Teams have to play the way Bayern did and Arsenal will look very ordinary.

That's easy to say but there isn't a team in the Premier League that has anywhere near the quality Bayern have to make Arsenal look so ordinary. Unfortunately Arsenal are one of the strongest teams in what is a currently poor player standard division.

I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal because they mostly play attractive footy, but I also always enjoy watching them getting thrashed as well :D

Don't worry - Klopp will take the league by the scruff of the neck, dust it down and bring it up to standard.

Thumped and dumped by Southampton 4-0. Who would have predicted that score. Whinger Wenger would be complaining just about anything non-stop by now.
