Michael Owen and his co-commentator going on like Arsenal have been robbed of the Champions League. It's the F***ing Emirates Cup of all things, stop the moaning! It was a poor decision by the ref to change his mind and not give the penalty that he initially awarded but no need to harp on about it for every second since it happened.

Forum rules does not allow swearing in thread titles, otherwise we would already have,
      F**k Utd.
      F**k City,
      F**k Chelsea,
      F**k Everton etc. etc. etc.

Just watching them on BT Sport now, I'm guessing they've signed Alexis Sanchez? I'm glad I tuned in or else I may never have known

With some luck he'll end up being crap like Ozil.

Their biggest problem last year was not turning up for games. If they continue in that fashion into next season then signing Sanchez won't really matter.

Won't matter anyway ;). They will have a good first half of the season, Wenger will be a god and Arsenal will look like the next best thing and then suddenly all the people kissing their ass will change their minds and the fans will want Wenger out, just like every other season.

Mentally they are the most frail team I've ever seen and no matter how good Sanchez is he doesn't strike me as any form of player who will dig in when required.

Bunch of fairies that lot and they will look good for a while before inevitably after getting battered in a big game.

I wouldn't be so quick to write them off. Wenger has bought what they have needed and are maybe a centre back/centre mid away from having a complete squad.

Hopefully they do crumble again but on paper, a very formidable opponent.

They will start on fire, get to about Christmas and have a couple injuries, loose form, blame the injuries.

They will then pick up form, get fourth comfortably then go and start talking about how next season is there year.

Arsenal think they can ignore the fact they've never won the biggest European club trophy and still claim to be bigger than European royalty like Liverpool. It's important they're reminded of their place in the universe, which will always be below Liverpool.

If there was a league for financial stability they'd win it hands down .  :D Sadly for them there isn't one so they'll have to be happy with a FA cup every decade or so .  ;)

Arsenal are going to be dangerous this year. They've done decent transfer dealings so far and have managed to keep hold of their key players. Can really see them pipping Manchester City. Don't think they'll finish ahead of Chelsea though.

Forwards: Walcott, Sanchez, Podolski, Sanogo, Giroud, Oxlaid-Chamberlain

Their midfielders: Flamini, Arteta, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla, Wiltshere, Rosicky, Diabi

Defence: Chambers, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Monreal

      Gk: Szczesny

Liverpool got a little catching up to do in the attacking department after LS departure. Said many times before - Reus would be ideal

From that I only see two above average players, Ozil and Sanchez.

Don't think they're the threat people are expecting them to be.

In fairness Walcott is well above average when he's fit. Which isn't very often.

I think his shown glimpses of what could have been, but week in week out his average I reckon just a bit better than having Aaron Lennon.

As a general question. Under the same criteria as you used here, who would you class as above average players in our squad?

Sterling, Sturridge, Coutinho. Gerrard to a weaker extent.

I reckon with consistent game time the likes of Can, Suso and Ibe could go on to be above average too. (Same with Ramsey and Chamberlain)

So you think Coutinho is above average and not Ramsey? Ramsey had a much much better season than Coutinho had last season.

I rate Cazola too but he's not as good as Coutinho.

I agree with your selections for Liverpool, I think Walcott and Ramsey are quality players though.

I think since Coutinho joined us his shown more than Ramsey of Arsenal, before his injury he didn't show much. Yes he had a good season, but in terms of consistency in ability I think Coutinho is better.

But like I said I think Ramsey will be above average soon with more games I am just not sure last season is a fair reflection of the two players.

For Walcott, will agree to disagree I don't rate him.
