Pre Match - Arsenal vs Liverpool (PL - 20th August 2011, 12.45 pm)

Thought I might start this.

After that disappoitning home draw on the opening weekend of our season, we should buck up and try to get a win at the Emirates against an uncertainty-filled Arsenal side whom are about to lose two key players in Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri. With the fixture sandwiched between their two important Champions League qualifying games, we have no reason not to get a win.

I think Gervinho is suspended after his red card on Saturday and I don't think Jack Wilshere is fit to start, we should take them head on.

Purely because i feel Adam and Merieles do not have it in them fitness wise yet, to play against the pace of Arsenal, i would play Spearing instead, also put in Kelly and Kuyt over Henderson and Flanagan as they have the experience in big games, and deserve there place back in the side after performances from the other 2.

If we are lacking creativity, i would throw on Adam, Aquilani and Merieles all at once, to give us that attacking flair, and hope they can pick gaps in the Arsenals defense as they get leggy.

This is our best chance to break our Arsenal-away hoodoo.They are down in dumps with two of their most creative players out and some of the better players out injured/suspended.They have a CL qualifying match mid-week which should further tire their players out and Wenger does not have a big squad to rotate around.They were awful against Newcastle but Arsenal being Arsenal you can never predict how they will perform but I think we have got it this time around.Same team will do for me except Kuyt should replace Hendo on the right.

I think Kenny will make few changes to his team, but will change his formation and while not flooding the midfield will ensure there is adequate cover.

I think he may even delight our Aquilani fans by putting him on the bench....... nah only kidding Not sure if Henderson or Meireles will get the nod, went with Meireles.

I think as usual it will be a close tight game with probably only a single goal in it. I think we will get that goal.... 1-0 to us.

I want Downing played on the right this time. I want to see him come in more and take shots like he did against Sunderland. Arsenal will be tired from their game against Udinese and will have no Fabregas obviously. Ours for the taking.

Let's not take the game so lightly even though Arsenal are set to lose Fabregas and Nasri.

If we are to play that, I'd rather Kelly be the attacking right back. Better attacking option.

Don't think it's been mentioned - but the Liverpool game against Arsenal will be Kenny's 20th Premier League game in charge of the Reds.

Same number that Roy had in charge.

Hope they don't get a replacement for Cesc until after this game, as Wilshere is injured, Gervinho is suspended & hopefully Nasri will be gone too. I think it will end 2-1 to the Reds.

IDK hope he is though.

I can see us winning this, 0-2 I think. Arsenal will be all out to prove they can make it without Cesc but I see them as potentially heading for a nosedive, hope its us that starts it!

As Wilshere is injured, Fabregas is gone, Nasri won't be involved, Gervinho will be banned, and Song should be too, I'd be pretty confident in saying we should have a stronger side going there than what they have.

Great chance to end our winless run there, and get our first ever win over them at The Emirates.

Arsenal could come out like a wounded animal and play out of this world but without thier most creative players around this is a great time to play them. The draw at Sunderland is not as bad as it seems considering Arsenal and Chelsea drew and the Mancs have injury problems now in defence and thier dodgy keeper will now have to play with a differnt central defencive partnership. All depends how City do tonight ( come on the Swans ). Theres a long season ahead and we will only get better i,m sure.

Nice but do we need to give them the respect of two defensive midfielders taking into account whats left there? I think if Rosicky is kept quiet then there isn't going to be much coming from that midfield.

Yeah he was okay buy I think if Dirk and Kelly were on our right side they could quite easily nulify him, same with Downing and Enrique on Walcott.
