Probably won't be taking penalties at the Euros. :P

This might just what he needs to get fired up though. With all his regular injuries he's good at coping with setbacks.

Yeah don't get me wrong I think Robben is a brilliant player and not many players in world football get even close to having the opportunities he has had in his career of winning such big trophies, but in those defining moments he has been on the losing side and it might well be difference between a great player and an 'immortal'

For sure. He might still get some chances though.

He just played a few minutes for Netherlands against Bayern, and a major part of their supporters were hissing every time he got the ball. Pretty disgraceful.

I read somewhere that Robben's last ten penalties all went the same way, wasnt hard for old Petr to do a bit of a video analysis on that and keep it in mind when Robben stepped up.

No, Cech actually said there's no pattern and Robben always picks a different corner so there's no logic to it. Cech said he didn't know what to do, half of them go right and half go left and he always runs towards the ball the same way. In the end it was all luck anyway, because Robben actually tried to shoot it through the middle, but failed miserably.

After Muller got taken off .. everything fell apart for Bayern. Still should have won it in extra time though when Olic squared that ball only for Van Buyten to stop his run for what would have been a sitter.

Gotta feel for Robben. He is on the cusp of greatness. He just missed a WC and now just missed a CL Title...

2001-02 was the worst season. Leverkusen were close to doing the treble, but ended up losing everything - league, cup, and champions league. That's why they're called Neverkusen :D
