      Does Hodgson count?

We can throw in Konchesky and Poulsen free of charge.

      HAHA Class.

Keane has to be up there for me like. Never looked the same player since he left Spurs for us.

Can't believe you voted for Evans, I used to think he was great. Scored against the mancs my first game at Anfield , scored a hatrick against Bayern , scored in the F.A. cup semi against Everton. Sadly he never really recovered from the glass in his face , and truthfully was never as good as I hoped, but I LIKED HIM!

The usual suspects that I would agree with El Hadj / Keane/ etc etc have already been mentioned.

Im taking into consideration the title of the thread Saint and for paying "Andy Carroll style" money then for a teenager we all had mega expectations of him.
After the Everton semi you mentioned ....he played in the Final but was substituted. Not a good game for him at all.
Keegan came in to the club shortly after ......the rest being history as they say.
No the incident at the Wolverhampton night club didn't help but talent is talent ....or not.

      Pound for Pound.

If Hodgson's a shout, then Souness, as manager, must be in the mix as well.

Alun Evans should of been great but he let himself down and he was the only one to blame for it.I recall him coming back into the team for a European tie at Anfield and scoring a hat-trick,so much promise and so much wasted,
