Craig Bellamy(--> Cardiff)

I don't think Craig had quite the impact today we're used to him having. I wonder if he's still a bit bothered by that knock he picked up because he still seems off of it.

According to Thommo on RAWK gave the fans behind the goal the V's when Carrolls goal went in.. Said he seemed abit pissed off with them over something? 

Anyone at Ewood read anything in to that or see something similar?

Carroll blew a kiss, which I thought was more sarcastic than filled with adoration. Hopefully it's all much ado about nothing.

Looks to be the player to be getting alot of assists recently.

It's impossible the movement and the energy this 32 year-old has. Surely one of the best signings of the summer. Would start him ahead of Downing, Maxi and Kuyt on the final.

Well ... he got 3 assists in the 4 goals we scored against Chelsea!!

Got to start against Chelsea, just so he can get in Fat Frank's face from the off, oh and so we win.

The fact that he played yesterday suggests that he might start for the final. He will have a full week's rest.

The downside if he starts is that we don't have him as an impact sub for the last 30 minutes if we are chasing the game.

Think in recent games he has featured in he has seemed off the pace, personally would not have him starting in the final, i feel he is not sharp enough and when on the ball cannot decide what to do with it.

That is his home town, went on loan there and from what he said thoroughly loved it, makes sense as the career is winding down to finish it at home.

Gonna be interesting to see what a new manager will do with Bellamy. If Rafa gets the job it will be evn more interesting.

He was a pivotal player for us this season, he was a game changer for us. I honestly believe if he could have played more games then our conversion rate would be a good bit higher. It's all ifs and buts I suppose.

The problem is we can't afford to be relying on older players like Bellamy and Gerrard anymore. On their day they are world class and will change a game in a heart beat, but we need to be looking for the "next" Craig Bellamy. I don't mean that like he transfer rumours spout on about the next Messi or the next Maradona, but the next lad that is going to come in for us and take up where Craig is leaving off. We need to look to the future now Craig's games are limited.

Regardless weather he stays or goes this summer I have gained huge admiration for Bellamy this year as a player and a man.

Should never have left the first time he was here but I could see the reason as he was sold to fund the purchase of Torres.

Just seen his interview on SSN where he talked about Kenny's sacking and the appointment of Rodgers.

He has great great respect for Kenny! He seemed really upset talking about it.

Had a warning for Brendan as well, that this is a huge challenge, and not disrespecting Swansea, but this is Liverpool Football Club.

Ya, I felt the same after hearing him, he sounds like one of us!

Hearing that 100% of the proceeds from his sponsorship deal with Warrior go to the Craig Bellamy Foundation.

Fair play to him! I genuinely think when he went from City to Cardiff on loan was a watershed moment for him. He just seems so much more humble and mature than other Premier League players. He's obviously made enough money to look after himself and his family and is looking to do something useful.
