      Sep 06, 2011 08:26:18 am
Ill be following this - cant see any of the home nations getting to the final though. Im going for a New Zealand v Australia Final with the All Blacks finally winning again after choking so many times.

Any other followers on here - I know we have posters from all over the world.

      What do you think....?

No-one expected England to get through to the final last time and but for a bad decision from the touch judge, they could have won it.

Heard on the radio that no All-Black player has been to the latter stages of a world cup competition?  Didn't catch it properly.  England have good experience in the squad, that could pay off.  Will be interesting.

Love to see the all blacks win, same old England, apart from young Tualangi it is a very safe pick  no Sharples, Simpson-Daniel etc. They will probably get to the quarters or even the semis but no further.

I really can't wait for this competition. Only recently I've started to follow rugby a bit more so it'll be my first World Cup. ESPN Brasil will show a lot of matches so I'm very excited abou it. Ireland and Australia are my favorite sides at the moment, but honestly, my preference could change during the competition :D

I watched the Tri Nations and have to say you do look a dangerous team.

Think youll get to the final and play the AB's.

Blimey, this has crept up! Nearly forgot all about it ;D

Some cracking group matches, and perhaps the all blacks won't leave everything in the group stage this time...

Ireland didn't win a single warm up match so I haven't got much hope for them.  It'll all come down to the last pool game against Italy to see whether they'll get to the next stage or not.  No doubt the Aussies will top that group.

Wales and Scotland going to find it tough getting out of the group stages too.

Gotta fancy the All Blacks on home turf, although don't rule out the Aussies either.  Think they're both stronger than SA with France and England being the only realistic Northern Hemisphere hopes.

      England team looks ok.

Wilko – you just feel more secure with him there, sometimes with flood I worry about his decision making. Still not a fan of Tindall but I never have been…he wont let us down but he doesn’t offer enough going forward I don’t think.

I like the back row though, Easter, Haskell and Croft should be enough for most teams until the bigger games.

Assuming both teams win their pools and quarter finals then you are right.

Easy win for New Zealand against Tonga.  I slept in and missed the first half with all the tries. :(

Second half was quite boring as Tonga obviously improved.  Decent start for the All Blacks though.

Game started at 5:30 am here in Brazil. I woke up to watch but fell asleep after just a few minutes. I have to save my sleep for the big games, not Tonga :P

I watched the opeming ceremony and the All Blacks v Tonga match and France Japan match today,so far some of the lesser rated teams are putting up a good fight while not winning.I will watch the England v Argentina match to night.I do prefer the A.R.League to rugby and tonight the Warriors play the Broncos in the playoffs in Brisbane.

Haha I know the feeling.  I fell asleep with the TV on watching France v Japan.  Turned into a belter of a match and I missed it, well played Japan!

On a side note - I love English cricket and their team.  The football team is okay I guess, especially when there are reds in the team...but I F***ing cannot stand the England rugby team!

      Come on you Argies!!!  >:D

I think England had better start looking for another penalty kicker,Johhn is past his best he used to be so reliable.Having said that Argentina certainly gave England a fright and were lucky to come away with a win.

All that counts at this stage is that you do win ,and they did ,i fully expect England to get to at least the semis purely due to the side of the draw they are in ,if i am honest they have quite an easy rout to the final providing they up their game and play to their potential, and as we all know its not always the best team that wins the final.

Very competitive 1st half from Italy against the Wallabies but in the 2nd half Australia stepped up and started doing what they were expected, it's 25-6 at the moment. Cooper is fantastic, love his vision
