      Juve's New Stadium
      Sep 09, 2011 03:21:43 pm

The stadium have a capacity of 41,000, including 3,600 premium seats and 120 executive boxes. The stands are just 7.5 m from the pitch, a major improvement from the Stadio Delle Alpi. The distance between the last row of the grand stand and the pitch is 49 m.

In addition, the stadium houses a 34,000-m2 shopping complex open every day and parking space for 4,000 vehicles and a museum dedicated to Juventus's history.

      Absolutely beautiful.

      Thanks for sharing that.

With 41k is football in Italy not the big crowd puller that it is in England and the big Spanish clubs?

Think we could to 60k and justify the cost if there were premium seats and a large increase of executive boxes.

The team and fans were sick of playing at the Stadio Delle Alpi, where it was never full and that had a capacity of around 63,000.

The club decided to build their own ground and made it smaller.

Only the big games are sold out in Italy. The rest usually have just the main stand full and in some cases only the two opposite sides of the stadium open to prevent crowd fights.

Lovely stadium. Will enjoy watching an Italian match with some atmosphere for once :D

Serie A attendances have seriously declined over the past decade, maybe already before that even. San Siro has a capacity of over 80.000, but is rarely filled. Milan's average attendance has declined about 12k over the past decade, Inter's about the same. While AS Roma, Lazio and Juve's average attendances have dropped an average of 20k. Juve's average attendance of last season was just 22k, which is like 10th in the Serie A.

Looks nice, small but 'nice' being the operative word.

Also good to see them promoting the use of flares in the second pic.
