Think Carroll deserves another start. Hd played decent today and needs a run of starts to get some form. Bring on Bellamy with 20mins to go with Everton defenders tired and Stevie for Adam possibly.

1. Spearo in the match. Reason - He is the local lad and will give his everything in the match
2. Kuyt. Reason - He always does well in the derbies

Spearing played well in a few derbies I think

We just need to improve our selves defensively and be more clinical in front of goal. I still think Adam has a lot to offer and he isn't as bad as people make him out to be, I thought he had a decent game against Wolves and he can still be a danger in set pieces.

He has been out for ages. I think it would be unreasonable to rush him into a fast, hectic derby.

After Adam last 3 performances at a bit of a loss why people still think he should play. But then again Gary Gillespie said a while ago Adam was a better player than Alonso on LFCTV so the Adam myth is being continued and maybe some people are believing it.

I think it would be insanity playing Adam in a derby in a 2 man midfield and football suicide to do the same against Utd

I really wanted to give Adam a chance and if he'd put in a few average performances, I'd certainly still be sticking by him, but he was very poor against Stoke, rubbish and stupid against Spurs and poor again today... Spearing has done nothing wrong, he was very good last year.

Everyone seems to be forgetting what he has offered though.

What exactly though, a deflected goal that was going wide, either way though we cant be carrying passengers in midfield. The lad aint F***ing Ronaldo where you can just excuse him from defensive work

For me Hendo, Adam and Carroll don't warrent a starting place on current form. Although Carroll was alright today he starts on the bench for me.

Downing is also unfortunate to start on the bench in the team I would pick to beat the blue sh*te which is:

Spearing and Lucas is very good for us in a derby game. Won't get run over and won't take the bitters' bullshit when the tackles come flying in recklessly.

Carroll will torment Jagielka and releasing Suarez in the hole will give him more space to run a muck.

Kuyt has to play. His record against them in fantastic.

I'd still be tempted to go for Bellamy ahead of Kuyt, he was great when he's played so far
