Went past Kenny Dalglish as our 6th all time goalscorer with that second penalty and equaled Jan Molby's record of 42 goals from the spot with it as well.

The man is simply brilliant.

Goal machine. Has a highest league tally of 16 for us, currently on 13 so every chance he could get more than 16.

Congrats to the captain and Suarez on being named joint player of the month. Honestly can't remember the last time it was a joint award. Thoroughly deserved to both.

This is probably one of the best seasons he's had considering the role change he's had , the amount of goals and assists have been fantastic and i can see the Skipper play on for us for a few seasons more .

I actually think he is a tad unlucky not to win the award outright. He's been imperious in every single game for a while now, an the fact he's done it while having the bookings thing hanging over him is all the more remarkable. Is currently the best at his job (whatever you want to call it) in the Premier league, by an absolute mile too.

For me he has been our best player this month by quite a distance.

I had the same concern some days ago, but to pick up a quote from someone here: If he gets booked and misses the Chaves game so be it. Rodgers will have that in mind, which means he has a plan for that scenario.

When something means that much to someone and they put that effort in they deserve it, when it's one of your own you want if for them, when it's your captain you fight for him.

Do him proud lads, only 4 games to give this man everything he's dreamed of and shove so many words down so many mouths.
