If he's to continue playing, perhaps Inter would be a good shout (for half a season perhaps).

Klopp is obviously not going to take him back as a player as there is no room given the emphasis on youth and energy (and quite right too), so experiencing another footballing culture like Italy's would broaden his horizons for a potential coaching career. It could only do wonders for him.

I just think he would do well to come into a team in another capacity and learn more about management rather that going into a league one team or a championship team in a ruthless league where managers are sacked regularly. The financial implications of keeping someone in the job who isn't quite right are too big, there will be no learning curve.

Stevie has played under some excellent managers but I would think talking to managers and receiving instructions from managers is completely different to working with a manager for a season, maybe as an assistant.

It'd be sh*t if he was sacked at his first shot at management.
