      Brazil 2014 qualifications-The Americas-Asia-Oceania-Africa
      Oct 07, 2011 06:19:59 pm
Looking forward to some of todays matches. This day, the 2 year torture starts for all south american national teams, in what is arguably the toughest qualification in the world( well no Brazil this time, but usually, its a nightmare)
      Argentina-Chile, i expecta great match
Uruguay-Bolivia, its raining like we are expecting an Ark!! si it might get a little bit nasty!!
Ecuador-Venezulea, not attractive to me, but... its football, so who knows
Peru-Paraguay might be worth watching too

South America qualifications are gonna be very interesting... some of the nations that used to be humiliated, total jokes, have raised their levels immensely... notably Venezuela and Peru. Chile have lost Marcelo Bielsa who was the main reason why I liked watching them, but they still got plenty of talent. Paraguay are a very strong, consistent side as well, although not brilliant. Uruguay are on the up and the Argentines are desperate to prove themselves.

      Uruguay 4-2 Bolivia.
Cavani, Suarez and Lugano X 2 Uruguay
      Martins, Cardozo Bolivia

The match should have ended with a much higher score, but in a disaster of a pitch, with tons of water, I guess its OK. Suarez had a good match, and was obviously not risking an injury. Still he managed to produce a lot of danger, and bolivians were scared to death every time he ran at them, with or without the ball. In a normal field it would have been a massacre.
He should have been substituted when Uruguay scored the 4th

Watching Ecuador vs Venezuela now, quite entertaining so far to be honest

Same as all the others. The South American one is just one big group, instead of several. 9 countries, 4 will go through, and the 5th will go to a play off qualification thing.

Stunning result in Venezuela, where the locals beat Argentina.
Colombia beat Bolivia 2-1 at 3600 metres of altitude, in La Paz. Another shocker, considering Bolivia rarely loose, exept for teams used to playing without oxigen!!(meaning teams that have players raised at high altitude, ie. Chile, Ecuador and Peru)
      Chile beat Peru 4-2
Paraguay and Uruguay drew 1-1. Paraguay got their equalizer at 93 mins. Suarez with the assist(fantastic assist) for Forlan. Forlan is now the maximun scorer of the national team.(to be fair, in the past players rarely played so many matches)

      Paraguay 0 - 1 Uruguay (Forlan) 12-10-2011

      Argentina 1-1 Bolivia....incredible!
Half time Uruguay 2-0 Chile, Suarez x2, and if anyone can find the game, please watch, because the man is a MONSTER. He is doing everything, from free kicks (one hit the bar) to corners. unbelievable.
