this should be a routine win. nothing can be taken for granted, norwich showed that but we're at home to swansea damnit, i expect a comfortable 3-0 win. Would also set our confidence up for the next two very difficult games with citeh and chavski.

we're at home to swansea, why not be more adventuruous and attacking? I'd love to see

That formation was used, as you all remember,at the end of last season in several games with success.I like it but, again, I prefer Charlie before Hendo

exactly, i really liked it, we played some great attacking football with it. i don't mind charlie too, either of them will do for that role. think we also need to get coates playing time, he needs to learn the english game sooner rather than later.

Oh ya? handy. Still a trek tho, from either home! :D

As for the formation, don't forget people labelled us defensive and boring with the 4-2-3-1, but were still the highest scoring team in the league one year. Attacking formations don't always mean more goals, it's how the formations are utilized.

      Looking forward to this.
Man it's a long wait when there's no midweek football.

I'd very much like to see this line up, and I want to see Bellars start this one, but I've got this gut feeling that Downing won't be dropped to the bench.

Bellamy's scored 2 in 2 starts, and I honestly think that he's done enough to warrant a start, whereas Downing's been very poor as of late.

Bellamy will be up for this and just maybe Kenny will throw him in from the start.

I think the best formation for our players atm would be 4-2-2-2

                         Reina
      Johnson Skrtel  Agger  Enrique
                  Lucas    Adam
            Hendo             Bellamy
                 Suarez   Carroll

Want to wish the Reds massive good luck for the match later today. Won't be able to follow it this week but let's build on our solid performance last week and really go for it against what will surely be a stubborn energised Swansea City! Let's put our full support behind all the lads and drive them to victory!

Each and every time we've drawn games (Sunderland, Man U & Norwich) we've dominated the first half. Second half, in those games, our opponents have put extra bodies in midfield, gained encouragement (from additional possession) and come back to 'mug' us - we never countered that move. Why would we, we were still creating chances, after all?

I agree with that BAD BOY but while we have experienced senior players on the park, They should be taking  the resposability to make them changes and make sure the movement of players by the oposition is countered. That sort of thing is taken on board at Sunday League level. Why are our players not reacting to it. ?  Sounds like a very basic requirement of the game to me. I even coach that sort of thing to my under 14 side, and have been for years. You can't expect a manager to make every tactical change throughout a game, from the touchline can you.

Today really feels like a 3 man midfield job. Don't want Carroll dropped tho.

Anyone hear of any team news knocking about?

      Quote from Suarez-7
Liverpool put their seven game undefeated run on the line against Swansea at Anfield.
The match is due to kick off at 15:00

It's the first meeting between the two teams since January 1990 when Liverpool ran out comprehensive 8-0 winners in an FA Cup third round replay at Anfield.

I remember that night. Would love another 8-0 win, but 1 will be enough. Nice way to warm up for the crunch games coming up.

Rumour on twitter is that we'll play this team:

Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Carroll

Subs: Doni, Kelly, Coates, Spearing, Bellamy, Maxi, Kuyt
