Yeah, I think he is mate. Was injured last week and it was mentioned that he was going to have a late fitness test so I think he's still injured.

Gives Skrtel Agger another game together. Thought they were boss together last weekend.

Very happy with this team, just about our strongest with Gerrard and Carra out injured. We will need to keep good posession today, because if we don't........Swansea will. Keep the ball, take our chances when they come and we should have an easy game.

Slightly worried why lfc_ynwa has put his PM to me in his Sig.

Strong lineup, still not start for Bellamy though...

We really need to go at these, we know they will try to play and I hope we come out firing too as we know we will get the space today.

      I'm going for 4-1.

Swansea: Vorm, Rangel, Monk, Williams, Taylor, Gower, Britton, Allen, Routledge, Graham, Dyer. Subs: Tremmel, Sinclair, Lita, Moore, Agustien, Richards, Moras.

I'm going for a cautious 2-0 today, sooner or later we are going to start converting our chances and are really going to rip some team a new one, but maybe not today.

Cheers mate, glad Sinclair isn't starting.

Thought he could give Johnson a few problems with his pace, skill and directness.

We need to go at Swansea for the full 90 mins, we have a habit of starting well, but letting the opposition have a spell in which we usually get punished

I'm gonna say at least 2-0 to the Red's.

I had £50 with a regular in the pub last night that we'd finish above Chelsea (he gave me a two point start). I'm kind of banking on us winning this one.

Talking of Chelsea, no doubt to the horror of everyone I went as a guest of one of the lads in here when they played Swansea (spare season ticket). Chelsea won comfortably in the end but Swansea kept the ball really well. They were a bit toothless up top (Leroy Lita) which cost them, but they're a nice footballing team. The only other noteworthy thing was Swanseas fans who were unbelieveably loud, incredibly so.

Massive game for Downing, can see him being dropped for the Chelsea and City games if he has another bad game here.

Good team out there, should be enough to see them off.

3-0, Carroll, Suarez and Henderson to score.

Downing strikes me very much as a confidence player. He was good at Middlesboro when he was the big fish, gradually came through to be good at Villa, but took time to find his feet for ERngland. After a good start he's gone back into his shell a bit, prolly just needs a good game.

Yeah, if he gets some early joy against their right back he may go on to have a stormer. Just what we need with big matches coming up.

Just read we've only won 3 out of our last ten against newly promoted sides, F***ing awful record that.

That's what I used to think about Riera, his initial battles with the right back were key to his game. When he did well in them, he used to have much better performances.

Downing deserves that kick up the backside when somebody takes his place. he needs to play well today.
