Just seen this on the official site.

      Quote
Here is a complete breakdown of Liverpool's match ticket allocation for the Barclays Premier League fixture with Manchester United at Anfield on October 15, 2011.

ST Holders (includes disabled seating): 24,900

      Hospitality ST Holders: 2,100

      Hospitality Match tickets:  1,350

Members (including branch tickets and disabled seating): 9,900

      Late Availability: 1,700

      Staff & Players: 1,100

      Partners: 800

      Visitors:  2,000

      Additional (e.g.) St John's Ambulance/Sweeper Zone/Emergency Seats/Secretarial allocation: 1,200

      Segregation: 200

      Total: 45,250

Some numbers there do not sit right with me.

      Interested in your thoughts.

Thats bollocks, since when do "Staff and players" need that many tickets... thats why people like me miss out on tickets... 2000 tickets in total not available to "real fans"

Seems wrong that staff manage to help themselves to 1,100 tickets for the United game - but we play Norwich and they only need 600.

Don't even get me started on the 'partners' and 'additional'.

Just been ringing the 0843 number.  Given up.  From going to virtually all the home games for years I now have no chance of a ticket again this season. Very sad red here!

Rick Parry would be saddened at this.

Wonder how many of the members tickets go to the "branches"...

      Probably near a majority.

I've heard rumours that it is about 3000 of the 9000 odd tickets available.

I wonder how many members pay their £29 a year and I wonder if they know they're all chasing about 6000 tickets per game.

Although the club will be happy to watch this bunfight of a ticket sale.  Short term it is probably good for the new stadium expansion.  But if they let this carry on for too long then they will alienate a lot of people.

I just think its crazy it goes from 13 or whatever from last season to ALL members.

Staff get two tickets each for every game if they want them. Assuming players get more.

My problem isn't how many tickets staff get.  My problem is that they use 600 for the Norwich game and then they manage to get 1100 for the United game.  That's 500 tickets taken away from passionate reds.

Wonder how many they'd get if they had to name who was getting the ticket?
