I only completed The Wire recently, it is a great series.  Have you ever watched The Shield?  For me, it's every bit as good as The Wire.

Never heard of it mate but I'll check it out, cheers.

      1. Game of Thrones
      2. Suits
      3. House of Cards
      4. American Horror Story
      5. True Detective

      In that order.

      No Breaking Bad?

      Or Sopranos.

No top 5 is ever right without The Sopranos.

Not seen it, yet, so it can't be on mine.  On my to do list though.

Not seen Sopranos, Breaking Bad was in there but True Detective swooped in although I have recently watched that so BB may earn it's spot back with time.

Well, Magillionare's list reminded me to finally get round to watching House Of Cards.

Halfway through season 1 and enjoying it so far, although I am having trouble not comparing it to the original series, which in my view was better.

House of Cards is enjoyable but overrated. Some great dialogue but I find it a bit soap opera. It's about as believable as Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones, a fantasy about dragons, sorcery and supernatural beings, set in a make believe world where each season can last over a decade is supposed to be believable?

Haha. Course not mate but House of Cards is very far fetched that's all I mean.

Finished Season 3 of House of Cards. Not entirely sure what to think, feel like it had much more promise and it fell by the wayside a bit. Enjoyed it nonetheless though, but I could see it being left as is or Season 4 being the last.

Just coming to the end of season 1 now (House Of Cards), and whilst it stands up well in its own right, I can't help making the comparison to the UK original show and it's spoiling it a bit for me.

This might sound a bit daft, but the way they number the episodes in 2 different ways on House of Cards is getting on my tits.

I really didn't enjoy the third one at all.

Posted this about Better Call Saul a while back and I realised after rewatching it I feel asleep and missed most of it. ;D

Anyway the series has went from strength to strength and the last episode, 106, was my favourite yet and a great performance from Jonathan Banks as Mike and brilliant insight into his back story.

Jesus wept :o Has anybody else had the misfortune of watching Legends yet? Sean Bean is wearing the worst syrup I've seen in ages. It look's as though he's been styled by Donald Trump.
He's always been a sh*te actor anyway but the episode I saw last night was of him supposedly being a character from Liverpool - not a hint of 'Scouse', just his usual thick broad South Yorkshire accent

Loved House of Cards seasons 1 and 2, but the 3rd was a bit of a disappointment. Still entertaining enough for me to continue to watch and wait for season 4, but it feels like the show has lost a bit of its touch with real life, real politics, which was truly appealing

Finished it last night after the match.
Season 3 was a bit far fetched at the end.
It was like they were trying to see how many hooks they could get in for the next series.

Lot of back story still. It's leading up to a fantastic season finale I'd say.

Link below about replacing the Top Gear remaining shows with Simon Reeves' excellent travel progs.
Instant bonus with that insufferable tw*t of a man Clarkson being given the bullet.
David Cameron has expressed his support for the tw*t, nothing more to be said really.

Started watching Battlestar Galactica on netflix last night.
I missed it when the remake first came out and was disappointed because I quite enjoyed the original series, cheesy though it was, so when I saw it I thought I'd give it a go.
Only a few episodes in, but enjoying it so far.
It's a lot darker than the original, but that makes it better imo.

Like Breaking Bad, it starts off slow.

A lot of backstory stuff, and building the characters.

But yes, well worth a watch. Just keep in mind BB and how slow it seemed, but that this was actually building the characters and the plots and sub plots.
It might be one of those shows where it's better to wait for the box set, or watch a load of episodes on netflix.
