Just finished watching the 1st series of Heros. Watched it may years ago on free TV, then Sky robbed it, so I've never seen the rest.

It gets patchy in later seasons, season 2 got gutted by the writers' strike, but I never hated it, unlike some other series I could mention, Lost, Prison Break, Being Human, The Brittas Empire...I could go on,that I watched to the end out of sheer obstinance and to have a sense of completion.

Haven't watched Heroes Reborn yet, but I will soon, it's on my ever expanding to watch list.

      Started watching Lucifer.

It’s ok, more of an easy watch to put on in the background I think rather than something to watch with all your attention on it (maybe I should just read a book instead :D )

The first couple of episodes are great, the language, sexual innuendo's used etc, becomes just another average formulaic show after that.

So, last season of Game of Thrones was so f**king sh*t.

Thankfully I found a much better series to watch over the last couple of weeks, just finished all the 4 seasons of it - Black Sails, which mixes real life characters (pirates such as Jack Rackham, Charles Vane, Blackbeard, etc) with fictional characters such as Captain Flint, Long John Silver and Billy Bones from Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. It's beautifully shot, with great dialogue and unending action. It's right up my alley - absolutely loved it.

Great choice. Black Sails was awesome!

      Started season 4 of Billions.

Good first episode and excited for the rest.

The best show at the moment for me. Great acting and great plot!

Brilliant isn't it? I listen to a podcast (Scriptnotes) which is a regular pod with Craig Mazin and John August. Mazin wrote Hangover 2, Identity Thief etc etc but broke with his usual trend by writing Chernobyl, and it's brilliant. Been fun listening to the pod and hearing him talk about little snippets of the process over the last couple years. Gotta watch the latest episode after work and then 8 Ball tonight, so making sure not to get too drunk at 8 Ball that I can't appreciate it and have to watch it again :D

Sidenote: Who knows how long it'll last with the test of time, but Chernobyl is currently the highest rated TV show by IMDB score in history. Scores, Tomato-meters etc are all to be taken with a grain of salt for me, but it is an indicator - particularly with TV shows. Cool little fact of the moment.

      Good stuff!

Awesome isn’t it? I have fallen behind a bit and not watched in a while, but will get back on it.

Looking forward to season 2 of Mindhunter, thought the first series was really excellent.

Need to make a start on The Mandalorian, new Star Wars tv show set after Return of the Jedi and before the start of the new trilogy.

      It's brilliant mate.

Easily the closest in spirit to the original trilogy.

Will give it a watch tonight, had seen it up on my firestick the other night, but wasn't sure whether to watch or not, will definitely start that  then

I have been ploughing through the Vietnam War on Netflix 10 episodes about 90 mins each. I was obviously aware of the War but the detail in this is quite comprehensive even down to Tricky Dickies lies. Most of these were just kids 19 years old and as usual the decision makers were F***ing useless. Definitely worth the time to see just what these young men went through and some of the bizarre reasons taken which meant so many of them died or were terribly wounded.

Brilliant series, was shown on BBC2 a while ago, but was shortened due to stuff they can't show in this country. Watched the whole thing on a streaming site, superb programme.

All caught up with The Mandolorian, another superb series. Love the western tone of the show, even though it's star wars.
