for those of you on twitter stir some sh*t up and post that we are in for the likes of Schurrle (of Leverkusen) and Abel Hernandez (of Palermo) the latter I can see end up being true seeing as we have shown interest in a number of Uruguayans, and Palermo seem to cash in on a number of their talent....Schurrle I just absolutely fvkn love

This is the one player i would try and sign the most, scores lot's of goals and even this season has got 16 goals in 17 league games, very consistent.

Abel Hernandez is a beast, followed him sice he was 17. But he is black, so i dont think Suarez would approve...

That site also links us with Juan Agudelo, who trained for a few weeks with club. Up and coming player, but he can't even break into the starting XI with New York. Unrealistic, as is that Cavani story.

I know big moves happy in like the last day but we haven't really signed anyone this month, have we?

It's been the quietest transfer window I can ever remember. Sky must be hating every minute and preying something actually happens somewhere.

I think we're missing a trick if we don't bring anybody in. It doesn't have to be for silly money but I really think the club should be pushing for someone like Hoillett who is in the last few months of his contract to see if tey can turn his head and pick him up for a reasonable fee. The squad needs a bit of freshening up and seeing as there is no sign of any of the younger lads stepping up into the frame then the only way to do it it by buying a couple of players. 

Would never happen, but the less Chicharito plays at the toilet, the more I'd love to have him here.

I would be worried if we dont sign anything Injurys and suspensions can F**k us up in the second part of the season.

Thing is with the Hoilett one, we may ( hypothetically ) have offered a fee we felt reasonable for a player out of contract in the summer.. ( 7m?) but they may have said we want 12m.. Take it or leave it, we have rightly left it. Their owners may have been convinced that it's a bad PR move to sell him with their fans on their backs ( interestingly so far they are refusing to sell Samba too and he has felt the need to give an interview stating he won't be able to give 100%).

They may sell Samba but give it the old we tried everything but he forced it but we kept Hoilett.. They may think he can help save them from relegation which would be worth just as much in terms of fee and PR.


From our point of view we can't be seen to pay anything for anyone or prices will be pushed up everytime we go in for a player if we fall for it again.


It's all a big game. As long as we are active in the summer I won't worry about this window.

If Chelsea got Hazard, United got Sneijder, Arsenal got Podolski, Spurs got Remy and City got Cavani then I'd be pretty worried now.

But they haven't (yet) so we're really in a similar position to before the window opened apart from a few of our players are hitting form and our best attacker is coming back from a month off.

Just hope we don't get any more injuries or suspensions. Problems for Suarez, Gerrard, Lucas and Spearing have affected us enough this season so hopefully there are no more major issues for us this season.
