Pre Match Thread: Fulham Vs. Liverpool 5 Dec 2011

The Elephant in the room is who is going to score our goals as our "TOP" scorer has 4 league goals. I~f we do not use Andy Carrol and let him find his form what is the point in having him.
We need a striker who will score 20+ league goals or we will always struggle to get in the top 4. Its our biggest dilema we are solid and difficult to beat but we are way down on goals scored.
Surely its time to give Andy a go and if he hasn't done anything come Jan we know we have to spend money .I really think he could do it if he gets a few goals and confidence and tonight would be the perfect time to score a hatrick.
Pressure is on tonight a good win takes us into 5th place nicely tucked in behind Chelsea so I am going for a 4-1 win.

No disrespect to the lower teams but they dont half raise their game against us,which goes to show we are still the biggest club in the land,i fancy us winning 3-1 tonight with a maxi,carroll and suarez combination of goals.

If we play anywhere near as good as we played there in May then I'll be delighted.

That was just an amazing performance. Maxi and Bellamy have to start. I'm not sure if I'd start Carroll for this one. Think Corbally is right about Hangeland, having said that if Andy does play I want to see some movement and spring in his step tonight. Bit of self-confidence, he can score goals in this league!

Fulham have a fair amount of talent. Stopping Dembele and Dempsey will be key.

Would not be playing Carroll for this. Hangeland and Senderos are big lads and will easily deal with the majority of balls into the box. Baird and Riise are quite big lads as well, not to mention Dixon Etuhu. That (playing Andy) would be playing right into their strengths IMO.

What they cannot deal with is quick 1 and 2 touch passing between a small, intelligent, quick front 3. I'm thinking Maxi, Bellamy, Suarez would give them nightmares, and would give us a good chance of scoring more goals than them, which, if my calculations are correct...... should win us the match 

Hope to see us take it to them tonight don't think Kuyt or Carroll should start but I won't be surprised or annoyed if they do Kenny knows best. My team

Agree with this 100%.  I'd like to see Kuyt involved from the start because Fulham have a few lumbering defenders, and Dirk will run them out of gas by about the 60th minute.  Then bring on Bellers and let him exploit the tired legs!!  Suarez, Maxi, and Downing will all be expected to shine in this one! 

Another game where the onus will be on us to break them down. It's games like these that deliver titles, the tricky away games on cold nights when the men stand out from the boys.

I would give henderson the nod to marshall the midfield alongside adam.

Yeah I agree, he was always good for us and his attitude was always perfect. Let's just hope Bellamy has left his golf clubs back in Liverpool today though.

This is a key match. Winning means not falling behind, and securing a spot among the title contenders.

Got to go with a clean sheet and say 3-0  with how well Agger and Skrtal have been playing this is easily achievable not to mention Jose. 
Will be interesting to see who Kenny plays instead of Lucas, i'm hoping that Henderson gets the Nod, think that he is more than up for the task.

18 goals in 6 games, 5 wins I think our record is on Monday nights.

EDIT: so ya in our last 6 games on Monday night, we've won 5, scroring 18.

I can rememeber the last few are the Fulham 5-2, City 3-0, and Villa 3-0. What are the other 2, I have West Ham in my head for some reason.
