Kenny has a great chance of ending his Villa park hoodoo. Was amazed to see he hasnt won there before as a manager of LFC.

Very solid team imo. Full of creativity but not that lethal. Expect us to win this comfortably with suarez and njonjo to scoreg. Hope downing has a great game aganst his former side.

While I am slightly surprised Shelvey starts, it shows how well he has been doing and the faith Kenny has in the fella. Hope he shines today. Come on Liverpool!

Made up to see Jonjo in the line up from the start, good team, should be to good for Villa, forecast us to win 2-1, would be absolutely made up to see Downing score against his former club, especially as the last time he scored was for Villa against us

Very surprised that Shelvey is playing, sadly I honestly don't believe he is good enough (yet) apart from that I think we are more than strong enough to beat (what looks on paper) a weak Villa side.

Completely disagree. He has proved his worth out on loan and in the reserves, definitely deserves his chance and think he is a lot hotter prospect than Spearo even though they play different positions (attacking mid/defensive).

Good line up to beat Villa - WOuld ave liked to see Maxi get a start, but a an impact sub he will be brutal against an already slow Villa defence.Bring him on with Andy at about 70mins and let them pile drive a win for us (if were not already a few up by then)...

Happy for Jonjo - if he puts in a performance today it wll be a great opportunity for him to cement himself in this side, especailly in the absence of Lucas and Spearo. That said - please dont do a spearo and get too excited and give any ref the opportunity to send him off...

Never enjoy our games at Villa.  Let's hope Dalglish gets his first LFC win there as manager! (Surprising stat that).
