I think fourth will be a little beyond use for this season, the Two Manchester teams are stronger than us, Spurs are probably playing the best football in the premiership, Arsenal are coming strong after a bad start and i think Chelsea have started to jell, although they are a team who are old, with a few exeptions.

That looks like Five teams with stronger squads, although we could overhaul Chelsea i think the rest are to strong. How will this affect our team, no UCL means it will be harder to attract overseas better players, so we wil have to nurture are own tallent and this will take time...

Manchester City will not weaken in the next few seasons, Manchester United even though the current squad seem inferiour to past teams are just behind City and i susspect will just become stronger. Spurs and Arsenal look to be well run ( depending on how Reddknaps court case goes. And if Van P stays ) Chelsea i can see falling away but that still leaves Four teams stronger than us, a bleak prospect !.

      Life will go on.

S**t around the world will still happen.

And we'll still never walk alone  ;)

      Exactly

we don't get 4th, we move on and try again next season.

       its as simple as that

:kop5cf8koxp6:Bah Humbug. Why is4th or above not a possibility? With the right results today we are right back in the thick of things. With all the club's above us yet to play us and each other there are plenty of point's to be gained or lost. Too much negativity about this post. Onwards and upwards. xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

We will not qualify for the European Cup, go into the summer looking to sign a few players while selling a few and start again next season.

      Nothing major will change.

      Nothing much will change.

We might get into the Europa League (going to be interesting listening to all the tw*ts hoping we weren't in it)

We'll have to buy and sell appropriately again, hopefully with some investment from our owners.

Kenny will stay and I expect all the top players to stay, I doubt FSG 'promised' Suarez or Reina certain goals.

I would personally try to abuse Harry Redknapp with a marrow.

Their the only ones that will beat us to it. Chelski are failing, Van Persie's been fit for too long and I'm expecting a breakdown / leg falling off moment, anyday.

Our best player is due back soon and by god we've missed him.

      We will prevail!

For the first time this season, without trying to sound knee-jerking, or overreacting - i am now generally worried about where we'll end up this season.

We can't finish our chances and until we address that, i believe it'll be very tough to get top 4.

Among all the times of not finishing in the top 4, I think this will be the one to hit the club badly.

We will never win the league if we don't beat these teams.

Well, the good news is, we have new owners who have promised improvement, and we are only 5 days away from the January transfer window. Lets see if they can put their wallet where their mouth is.

Will they be a little cautious though?

Kenny's big name signings haven't exactly set the world alight have they :(

If Kenny doesn't sign big names or sign Downings, I don't understand nothing. The wingers lack sharpness and are not good enough. we won't finish top 4 this season or next with this squad unless we sign world class players.

Well, they have 2 options: They support Kenny in the market, or they sack him. Since the 2nd one is not really an option, FSG have very little space to maneuver.

If we look at our blown chances this season, we should be like 3rd or so. Minus the 4-nil drubbing at Spurs, we've played good football, just seriously failed to score goals. It's Arsenal syndrome: play wonderfully, but if you don't score, what the hell does it matter? If we don't finish fourth, we could potentially fall even further behind Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal. I don't think we will, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

If we failed to reach the CL next season, I'd be surprised if Suarez stayed.

      ;D@Benito

We'll continue our rebuilding plan and strengthen further, I personally believe we'll make it to the top 4 but it wouldn't be the biggest shock if we didn't. Strange how before these 2 results some people were talking about a title push and after them they're talking about not finishing in the top four, the pendulum hasn't swung too far from where I'm sitting we're still building a team and this year is year one in that process.

We could have been tied for 4th today the fixture against blackburn looked 3 points for certain. saurez is not living up to expectations. Perhaps the epl is tougher than the dutch league, but he is the the not the deadly clinical striker we thought he was. Our defence is awesome but we need to get many more goals, perhaps we can get a target man in january thats our silver bullet.

      Suarez has exceeded my expectations.

Think the problem is he's trying to create AND score for us as not many others are stepping up.
