Disappointed to see Maxi out again after a good performance. Apart from that a good team. Makes sense to get Jay in the midfield because Adam and Henderson were really struggling.

I like the line up. My big thing with Maxi is that he pairs best with Suarez, so if Luis isn't there then he loses some reason to start. With Carroll in I think Bellamy is a good option.

Looking for Downing and Carroll to prove their worth. They really need to pick up the slack.

Great chance for the big fella tonight, i think he just needs a goal to help with his confidence, once he gets it who knows he might make it hard for Kenny to leave him out, glad to see spearing back, he will battle all night running thru brick walls, we need Adam and Hendo on top form, i expect the back 4 to dampen Ba & co without too much concern, tricky one this is going on our current home form,really need to win to keep us on the coatails of those above us,dropping more points will further damage our aim.

Downing finally had a strong game last time out. No reason to drop him now.

And for the first time in a long time we actually get to see Carroll and Downing on the pitch together for an extended time - ridiculous since we went hard after Stewart because of his crosses to go with Andy's head. This game is theirs to take.
