Big potential..... exceedingly small brain. Would add pace and impact but can't see him ever becoming a top striker.

True this but Wonder would we look at buying him for the right wing?? Him and Carroll up front would be Funny looking.

Can we call him Walcott the Pooh, winger of very little brain.  :)

Walcott would be good if played as a full on striker *not* a winger. He would certainly get us the goals we need.

I think he would benefit from playing for King Kenny and with Suarez. He is a striker first and foremost. I think, Wenger has missed this by playing him wide right & so has Capello.

And your comment on this, is what? The comparison of the two videos is limited to a goal being scored.
The comparison of the two players is limited at best anyway. Today one is 22, the other 32, admittedly when that goal was scored he was 28 I think, but still 6 years older than Walcott is today.

If you are saying that Walcott is the same as Voronin in style, ability, potential, then you are wrong.

If you are saying that Walcott blows hot and cold, then yes, but don't most players?, but Voronin only blew cold to freezing.

Your claim that Walcott "has the game intelligence of a corner flag" was crass at best as many times he has shown he has the ability to beat the best.

If you disagree, have a look at the video Shabs posted above, and then say that.

I'm in a massive minority here but I like him.

Under the right guidance I think he can still be a top player.

He doesn't have the footballing brain.

Kenny is an awesome manager, but even his coaching power has it's limits.

Then it is a shame you could not have put that answer instead of posting a 4 year old video.

Walcott is a good player. You may not like him, but that is your opinion. It does not make it true.

Why would our coaches make him any better than arsenal coaches have being trying to do last few years.  If he ever lost his pace like say Owen he wouldn't be good enough for the premiership never mind Liverpool or arsenal

4 years, 4 months or 4 weeks, it will make no difference. You were the one posting a video from a single (accidental) goal from Walcott, as some definite proof that he is a quality player. The truth is, he is a terribly limited player, and Andriy Voronin (the player on the video that I have posted) is a much more complete player than Walcott. Of course, neither of them is good enough for LFC.

Considering the number of players they have produced over the past 10 years, compared to the Arsenal coaches, I'd say that our coaches are yet to earn their wages.

Yes you are right! He accidently went past 2 players, fell, accidently kept control of the ball, accidentally went past a further 2 players, and accidently kicked the ball from the edge of the box, and it accidently flew past the goal keeper into the goal. Yes he meant to give it to Lampard.

And the post from Shabs, was that an accident too? Accident prone isn't he.

Voronin more complete player than Walcott! Ok.? :lmao:  But he was sh*te.

Obviously the Arsenal coaches are not that good, because they have to quote you, turned Walcott in to a corner flag.

      Yes, Voronin was sh*te.

Still, he is a far more complete attacking player than Walcott.

Voronin is good on FIFA. Has been for the past 3 seasons. From that I gather he must be doing quite well since his horrible time with us! :P

Andriy Voronin has actually succeeded in a couple of strong leagues like the Bundesliga and the Russian Premier Leaague. Theo Walcott is yet to succeed anywhere. Of course, there are people who will always rate pace over footballing brain, but fortunately, they are fewer by the day.

      He is 22 years old.

I'm not a great fan of Walcott but to say Voronin is a more complete forward is silly. If he was that good he would still be with us.

Not his biggest fan but I'd rather have him (or even Aaron Lennon, for that matter) than Stewart Downing
