Posted in the other thread that I expected them to not appeal, but to put out a statement to the effect that it was a stitch up.

Probably the best course of action for THE CLUB.

As for Luis personally, think he should sue the Mirror and the FA.

Disapointed the club have decided not to appeal but have on the whole agree with your sentiments. The stature of the club means it would be risky and potentially damaging for them to go the court of arbitration or another body and then lose that case also. It's probably a risk that (on balance) is not worth taking given the profile of the club, the global fanbase and the commitments of the club's commercial partners.

Also, I doubt there has been too much thought about the football side of things in terms of when is it best for Luis to start/return.

      That's exactly why LFC did.

Making him available against Man U, and playing him (whether the full 90 mins I couldn't say) makes a MASSIVE declaration to the millions watching - that's he's not racist, he's got nothing to be ashamed for, he's not going to hide, and he won't hide.

KK will tell them that it's just another game.

I think it's a great move, and one where KK gets one over on Fergie.
How the F**k agreeing to an 8 match ban is a getting one over Fergie ?. Fergie is running roughshot over the spineless F.A.

Think the club have bottled it to be honest.

Suarez now faces the prospect of a player making an allegation against him and being dragged back in front of the FA with the threat of a life time ban hanging over him.

One of the first players he's likely to face upon his return is his accusser, we should have fought it to the bitter End !

Disgraceful stuff from the club if you ask me.

With an ex Man United representative on the FA board who would make the final decision on Suarez, it makes sense not to appeal it. F*cking disgrace, but better on our part.

F*ck off FA you corrupt c*nts.

I'm absolutely gutted by this decision and very surprised they did it today, before a very important fixture, i'm totally bemused, why could they not have left it until tomorrow ?

Because they want to put an end to the matter and want tomorrow's newspapers to focus on tonight's football game.  Actually strikes me as pretty good timing.

Nonsense. Kenny has obviously decided that he needs Luis for these:

If we win these 4, we are very likely to get into the Champions League next season. Good decision by Kenny and the club.

      So,
      Suarez, "I'm not Racist"
      LFC "Suarez's is not Racist"
      Evra "Suarez's is not Racist"
FA "Suarez's not Racist", but we're going to convict anyway.
      Media ""Suarez's is Racist"

      Verdict "Guilty"

LFC, "What ever, we know "Suarez's is not Racist", but the FA are cu*ts and a law to themselves" so what's the point.

I hope he takes tham to Crown Court as the FA's verdict is like a colander. Probably.

      For the reasons I gave.

This is the only way we could have made any kind of stance in the circumstances.

      Shame he isn't playing.

Well that's it folks, batten down the hatches and expect the illogical and reactionary ramblings from everyone you know who isn't a Liverpool fan.

Taking into accounts the two statements from Club and Luis we can draw the conclusion that we won't appeal for footballing reasons but Luis will fight to clear his name.

I'm thinking that two very good things will come out of this.

Angry does'nt come into it!I/we could find this "easier" to take if Evra had been punished aswell. He (evra) has openly admitted verbally abusing Luis but gets off scott free.Surely one would expect him to recieve a 3 match ban at least.Them tw*ts at the (can hardly bring myself to type it )F A are as usual SH** scared of Sir **** and have been manipulated once again.
Finally is there nothing we can do as fans of LFC that would help? :f_steam:
