He's going to be hot property this summer. We may be one of the bigger clubs after him but we can't guarantee him a regular starting place.

I think he'd be a good addition but like everyone in this thread now, it all depends on who the new manager is and their style of football.

Not gonna lie, I was really surprised - and a bit disappointed, if I'm being honest - with how much he hit the deck when we played Blackburn away. Wouldn't have any problems if we got him on a free transfer. His wage demands can't be that massive.

One of the poorer games ive seen him play aswell, along with when they played the mancs, which may mean he isnt a big game player. He is one of them players that has a spark that we wanted to see from downing so he would be at least a good impact player
Having said that i thought Joe Cole and Jovanavic were good signings

He won them a penalty and got the keeper sent off not bad for one of his poorer games. Its hard to be a big game player when your team is sh*te and can't get the ball off the other team.

Save the 7 million, get him for free in 6 months and buy another winger for that money plus some.

I hate lower teams holding out for a pay day and using the guy as meat to fulfill their needs when they act as if his best interests are at heart.

F**k off Blackburn. 7m less to keep your club afloat. Cu*ts.

;D why would you begrudge blackburn? of course they're going to hold out for more money, i don't think he's worth much more than 7 or 8 anyway

      Not really a strange move.

He will go from playing in a relegated side to Champions league football.

Meant in the sense that Germany isn't usually a common destination for 'English speaking' players, and there seemed to be quite alot of interest from other clubs based here in England. That being said, he did spend alot of time playing for German teams while on loan from Blackburn as a youngster which may of influenced his decision one would imagine.

Still, would of expected him to of moved to a side in the PL personally.

He's already spent a couple of years, on loan, in Germany Danny. Maybe he likes what he saw.

Interesting signing for them, I don't have a very defined opinion of Hoilett but he seems to be a good player

You'd think if he couldn't go to Germany, he'd want to be playing prem league football rather than in Turkey.

It is a bit of a strange one.

But saying that, maybe he feels he can really set the league alight with a view to a big move a season or two down the line...

Sky Sports understands Borussia Monchengladbach remain favourites to land Junior Hoilett, but he has held talks with five Premier League clubs in recent weeks.

And Sky Sports has also learnt that his current club Blackburn have made a concerted effort to try and keep him.

Hoilett has long been linked with a move back to Germany, where he spent time on loan earlier in his career.

The 22-year-old Canadian-born striker also speaks fluent German and his brother plays there.

But he is still considering his options in England and a host of clubs have stepped up their interest in recent weeks.

Sky Sports understands, Tottenham, Queens Park Rangers, Liverpool, Newcastle and Everton have all had contact with the player's representatives in recent weeks.

Hoilett is currently believed to be in England with his family, continuing talks.

Borussia, though, hope that the lure of UEFA Champions League football will win the day for them.

Not a great souce, but looks like we could be back in for the lad. Another cheap deal so I am sure some people would hit the roof - but looked a good player in a very poor Blackburn team.

It's how Spurs have been scouting for the last 2 years. Await an LFC bid then match it / beat it... Saves Spurs lots on scouts and keeps costs down!

Not sure he's top drawer, more of  ' a decent player in a poor team' as far as Blackburn go. As for the rest, he seems to be prepared to play just about anywhere (country wise) which sounds like he would soon want a move if he didn't get the game time he required, or just didn't settle right. Journey man comes to mind with no particular club loyalty. Only my opinion.
