      General Transfer Rumours

Thought it would be a good idea to create a Transfer Rumours thread for all deals not including Liverpool.

Contribute with news articles, Twitter rumours, etc.

I was thinking that but this is the Transfer section. One thread can be devoted to not Liverpool perhaps?

      Wow, this is huge.

Apparently PSG bought both Thiago Silva (best CB in the world IMO) and Ibrahimovic from AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic gone? Source? The Andy Carroll rumour now makes more sense.

      Berlusconi confirms PSG agreement
AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva are set to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Reports emerged this week that PSG were in the market to sign Thiago Silva, with whom they had agreed a deal in June, and Ibrahimovic at a total cost of around €62 million.

Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, met with AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani on Wednesday and then headed to the French capital for talks with PSG director Leonardo on Thursday. It was then reported by French newspaper L'Equipe that the Sweden striker had agreed to the move in principle and Berlusconi has now confirmed the news.

"Yes, I've sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG," he told Sky Sport 24. "We will save €154 million over two years."

It is reported that Ibrahimovic, 30, was seeking an increase on his €12 million-a-year wages before committing to a move to Paris. Brazil centre-back Thiago, 27, had agreed a deal with PSG earlier this summer before Milan blocked the deal, and the defender then signed an extension to his Rossoneri contract.

And people are worried about us spending £6m on a 29 y/o, Ibrahimovic must be close to the most expensive player in total transfer fees combined. Don't understand how they'll save €154 million over two years.

They've lost like 10 players so their wage bill will be much smaller, although they don't have much of squad now :D

Porto tell Spurs: It’s £31m or no deal for Joao Moutinho

Porto boss Vitor Pereira today admitted Tottenham want Joao Moutinho but insisted the White Hart Lane club will have to pay £31.5million to land the midfielder.

New Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas wants to build his Tottenham side around the Portugal international and will fund the transfer with the sale of Luka Modric.

The fee would be nearly double Spurs’ transfer record of £16.5m for Modric in 2008 and the Croat could hold the key to the Moutinho deal going through.

Spurs would fund the move with the money which comes in for Modric if he completes his likely switch to Real Madrid.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would prefer not to pay more than £25m for Moutinho, 25, who has a £31.5m release clause in his contract.

Porto, who Villas-Boas steered to Europa League glory the season before last, need to sell some stars this summer to improve their finances and Pereira fears it is only a matter of time before Moutinho moves to White Hart Lane.

He said: “I have not spoken with Villas-Boas but it is natural that he likes Moutinho. I like him, too.

“Clubs cannot just not sell. We really want him to stay but this is football and there are release clauses.

“The only thing we can do is achieve results with what we have got.”

Standard Sport revealed Spurs’ interest in the player two weeks ago but they are unlikely to sign him before Modric’s likely switch to Madrid is complete. The Croatia international has agreed terms with the Spanish club but the teams have not settled on a fee.

Madrid had an offer of £28m turned down last week but have reportedly upped their bid to £40m.

They face stiff competition from Paris St-Germain, who have made a £35m offer with a three-year contract and more than £90,000-a-week wages.

But the player has set his sights on moving to the Bernabeu and Jose Mourinho expects to seal the transfer before the 26-year-old returns to training at Spurs next week.

If this story is true, then I hope that Porto stick to their guns and stubbornly refuse to sell for less than the cost of the buyout clause. I'm sick and tired of Spuds always trying to buy on the cheap. Tight cu*ts.

Cheers Stevie, thought it was simply relating to these two is why I was confused, thanks for clearing it up.
