Cant see them selling to us!

For 10m be decent signing mind, out and out proven goalscorer and far better value than the supposed 30m for Bent.

I don"t see why Harry would not sell to us,did he not sell his son to us a few years ago.

Arry has been saying for a while that he feels he needs another striker, so to let Defoe go will mean 2, i cant see him wanting to let him go but that doesnt mean it cant happen, Defoe wants regular football to go to the Euro's, if he wants that enough he may have to force it through with a transfer request.

He certainly knows where the goal is, think he would be a good signing myself.

Bit of a difference then Billy as Bournemouth were in the 2nd division and not competition.

It was a bit tongue in cheek really and lets face he was doing what was best for his son at the time.I think if Defoe genuinely wants away then he would let him go.

Getting a tad old, but a decent striker.

Not sure if he contributes a huge deal to the team when he isn't scoring, like Bent and Soldado, but that is maybe what we need.

I'd have him here as like Bent he is a goalscorer.

But like a few of you have said I just can't see Spurs letting him go but you never know.

I personally think that's just what we need, he is quick, has good movement, wil get on the end of the chances we create.. Quick enough to keep with Luis..
A shorter term option but for me if we could get him I'd be happy.

And better than not contributing a huge deal or not scoring  :f_tongueincheek:

Another Spurs striker - well cant be worse than the last one!

I like Deooe - but I would worry about him settling in the North. With the Euro's coming up I think he could force a transfer through, and I am not sure Harry would stop him. It's not like Modric, Defoe barely plays a game now so his usefulness to Spurs has deminished. Also £10 Million will buy a new striker for them. The only question is can we do better?

If the price was right I'd takle him. I always remember himlinking up well with Berbatov, who is an intelligent forward much like Suarez so think him and Suarez could form a pretty good partnership and one thing Defoe knows is where to stick the ball.

Can't see it happening but I wouldn't be against it at the moment.

Not a big fan... would be a decent option, but again, I refuse to believe he's the best we can get.

I'm with you Diego - can't really quibble with his record and possibly do a job, but doesn't convince me.

If we put in £10million, Defoe would be at Harry's door telling him to accept.

And I don't think Harry would be cruel enough not give the lad first team football when he knows he wants to make the Euros. We would give him that platform.

He is an excellent striker. Fast, great movement, powerful finisher in and outside the box and could possibly strike a partnership with Andy. Has been good with target men in the past.

Clearly we are in the market for a good finisher and defoe certianly fits the critera.Would not turn down a possible deal.

I don't know, I reckon 'Arry would sell his mum to Rooney if the price was right.
