Today 7 years ago Liverpool were dumped out of the FA cup at round 3 by Burnley thanks to a crazy own goal from Djimi Traore. The original fixture was postponed due to an unplayable pitch and Liverpool were caught out on the refixed date!

Always remember Rafa getting stick for his team selection and Traore being lashed out of it, but both had a big finish to that season!!

I still have nightmares about that own goal even to this day  :(

not liverpool history but it somthing us brits can be proud of:

21st January, 1976: The First Concordes with commercial passengers take off From London's Heathrow Airport to Bahrain in the Persian Gulf and Paris Orly Airport to Rio de Janeiro .
      Concorde: First Flight

Off topic yes but a great video indeed. That and the cuts to NASA make you realise how far money can go to stop humans and their pushing of the boundaries. Very sad.

      On this day last year:
SSN finally felt justified in their ridiculous Transfer Deadline Day coverage
As Torres left and Carroll arrived.
85 million added onto the accumilator.

Reckon if there was a swap between Carroll and Tevez they'd make it 70 million
      To bump the window spend.

Suarez 7 - I thank you comrade for calling me on my unacceptable behaviour. Having taken a long gard look in the mirror I have now attended two sessions at "Turdists Anonymous" and am happy to stand naked in front of this forum and say "My name is Scotia and I'm a Turdist"

Thank you brother - that is all

On this day 12 years ago:

      Titi Camara

Titi scored the winner against Arsenal at Highbury, boss ball through to him by Gerrard.

I still can't believe Ged got shut of him for Heskey.

Been keeping an eye on Titi's twitter today and people have been sending him messages about this. He is clearly loving it all. Fair play to him.

Easy to believe. This is the man who rejected the option of taking Anelka on a premanent contract to instead sign Diouf and Diao
Houlllier had a lot of positives but made some f**king howlers as well.

I liked Titi. He could be hugely frustrating at times but one of those players capable of occasional brilliance.
