Seems like only yesterday since that smooth slimline Rafa landed in Liverpool.

I really hope they don't F**k him over the way they do with every other manager.
If they let him get on with his job, he'll win them trophies.

They probably will do 80% because they always do, I'm sure he'll enjoy every moment there though, and he must be aware of that fact.
they can wield some political money clout, which should be a bit illegal maybe, it'll be interesting to see who he'll choose using that amount of backing.
The presidents of top clubs in Spain (especially RM) have a huge say on decisions/players playing don't they? Because they recoup these huge transfer fees in sponsorship and shirt sales.

Took Liverpool with grace in flight to the very top winning only admirers along the way and not an enemy seen in sight. An incredible figure!

Wow! Remember it well, reading it on ceefax (before we got freeview) and excitedly telling my brother! Did well for us on his return, got us a few goals in the league that helped us cement what was a really strong domestic season for us. Not one of Liverpool's flashier sides, but certainly amongst one of the most tactically efficient and beastly on a defensive front! Still have the team photo poster from that season. Great days!

One of my best Anfield games in recent memory that was.  AND Everton got off lightly with 4-0 as well!
