Lets put the Bolton result behind us and concentrate on the next game.

Liverpool contest the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester City at Anfield on Wednesday.

The Reds head into the game holding a one-goal advantage thanks to Steven Gerrard's penalty in the first meeting at the Etihad Stadium a fortnight ago.

Should Liverpool prevail, it will mean they will make their first ever visit to the new Wembley Stadium next month.

Games still coming thick and fast at the minute and I expect a totally different performance for this one, especially as more than a few players seemed to be playing this game in their head already.

Yes I'd stick Agger as our defensive midfielder alongside Adam as he's quick enough to move around the pitch, reads the game well and cover for Adams defensive deficencies and he can pass the ball.

Its not going to happen, but thats my tuppence worth.

Im not going to pick a team because Bellamy and Pepe aside, none of them deserve to start! Whoever plays just hope they show some bottle and pride in the shirt because they owe the club!

Really hoping Spearing's fit for this one, as he will be the most important player on the pitch for us in that game. Never thought i'd ever post that. Dont see where any of our goals will come from, so im hoping for a 0-0 draw.

He hasn't done very well, I agree. But neither has Kuyt. I think we will need pace out wide for this game, hence why I would start Downing ahead of Kuyt.

what bothers me if we get past City we will have a "lesser" teak to play in the final remember Birmingham

Considering we have no defensive midfielder I am concerned by what Silva will do to us.

One thing is for sure the team selection will give us a few hints as to who Kenny was most disappointed with against Bolton. For me I don't see Adam starting, Carroll might simply get a start due to our lack of options up front and a release from the probably pressure we'll be under, expect 5 at the back with Carra coming back in in between Agger and Skrtel. Honestly see us playing for a draw.
