      Final tickets announcement

      http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/final-tickets-announcement

Liverpool Football Club will shortly announce full selling arrangements for our trip to Wembley for the Carling Cup final on the 26th February.

We would ask that you do not contact the club until the release of those details.

I'm desperate... I need a ticket. I certainly won't be eligible for one, but I'm begging for help here.

      Here's some background information.

Last year Arsenal received an allocation of 31,803 tickets.

This season Liverpool only played one tie at home.  It's almost a certainty that if you went to any away game in the League Cup you will get a ticket.

Many of those people who went away will have got a ticket for the home game against City (taking away City's 6000+ allocation) then I estimate about 40000 people have a game registered on their card.

Liverpool should almost certainly allocate tickets to those who have been to the league cup games.

If you went to an away I think you will have a final ticket.  If you only went to the Man City home game you've still probably got at least a 75% chance of a ticket.

Let's hope Liverpool don't make a massive ticket faux pas on this one.

Possible.  Will have to see the selling details first, unless you try and get one of the numerous tickets the FA/Football League will have.

Best to do at the moment is probably wait for the announcement of the ticket scheme for the final, right?

Sorry for being such a pain in the ass, I'm desperate cause if I really can go, I need to book flights, arrange the dates of my vacation with my boss etc, too many things to get sorted out for this. But I really want to go, can't stop thinking about it for a second.

Mate, you have got me all F***ing excited now. Can't sleep! Haven't been to any of the away games but seeing that I went this evening, that 75% is something I am holding on to. Come in!

31,000 tickets allocated for each set of fans.

That leaves 28,000 others. Madness, IMO, that there are so many that don't go each club.

I went to the away game at Stoke. Do you think it will matter that I sat with the Stoke fans?  :f_tongueincheek:

What will matter is whether the tickets were bought via your member card (which I guess they weren't if in with Stoke fans).

The irony is that just like every game for Liverpool, first shout goes to those people who sold their shares to Hicks and Gillett.

I was wondering if anyone eligible for a ticket but don't want/can't go to the final, could this person buy a ticket anyway and then sell (hopefully for reasonable price :D) to me?

I mean, should I wait and see or should I already be looking on one of those ridiculously expensive websites that sell tickets on the internet (not even sure how safe they are)

I am hoping for that as well - buying for someone but IF there are requirements (like at Anfield where you need the card to enter), I don't know but they can't have that card scanner thing at Wembley, can they?

I also checked out the random websites but it's soooooooo costly that I'm not willing to take the risk. I don't need a good seat at the stadium (preferably a good seat of course) but I just want to be there!
