QPR offer former Liverpool striker Cisse a £5m return to the Premier League

QPR have launched a £5million bid to bring Djibril Cisse back to England from Lazio.
The one-time Lord of the Manor of Frodsham could be heading back to the Barclays Premier League after Lazio reluctantly agreed to make him available.

Cisse, who inherited the title after paying £2million for a mansion overlooking the River Mersey during his time at Liverpool, is keen to have one more crack at English football.

He scored against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.

QPR transfers advisor, Gianni Di Marzio, said: 'Cisse is a good player, maybe he hasn't settled in Rome. If he comes to QPR, we will welcome him with open arms.'

It was a helluva goal Racer - funny I always remember the ball Stevie put in as the bit that's forgotten about how influential he was. T'was a thing of beauty but the finish was a belter.

Yeah, very frustrating player, showed great character coming back from his broken legs mind.

Think he'll do well at QPR.

His penalties were always a joy to watch. The keeper probably hoped he went the wrong way so he doesn't cop it in the body. Lethal strikes.

 I watched the Villa/QPR match today and Cisse scored a cracker of a goal,at times his thinking was far ahead of his team mates,he tired in the second half but I suppose that is understandable.

I dint know they were such Cnuts tbh, does make sense tho.. Since his move I began following him on Twitter and immediately saw two post by him in relation to the racism he's been receiving?? WDF!!?!.. He's only been here 5 mins??  Not quite sure if he was referring to the Lazio fans or QPR's??.. One thing for sure is that he loves our club.. I remember hearing him "fishing" in an interview a while back saying he'd love to be back.. This club does that to certain players.. Unique characters are always needed in football and he's one of em. Still gets a lot of "YNWA'S" on twitter from LFC fans..

Cisse has great pace, power and obviously a thundering shot, but I remember there was lots of talk of Rafa's backroom being utterly surprised at the lad's lack of game awareness or general technical ability in controlling, passing a ball. He's a bit of a one track striker but when you give him the chances more often than not he seems to power them in. Obviously must have lost a bit of pace having been unbelievably unlucky in breaking both his legs, but he's still quick from what I've seen since.

It's because of his horrible leg breaks that I still want him to do well, plus those goals against West Ham etc. Hope he plays well back in England, even if QPR aren't exactly my favourite team.

Loved him at Liverpool.

Ok he wasz no Torres or Suarez but he was such a character and entertainer.

My lasting memories are the crazy hairstyles, the horrendous leg break and his performance in the Super Cup final and his dancing round the trophy!
