Kinda. One of those bands where I've liked the songs that they've released but I've never given their albums a full listen for some reason.

I f**king love 'New Born'. Guessing it's not like that though?

      It's more like that actually.

It's hard to describe, but they've gone old school Muse but threw lots of lovely new sh*t in at the same time.

Which works just fine. The Exogenesis Symphonies are out of this world. One's just this progressive build up, and then it just kicks off. Another is really mellow but still a bit of a build up. They're so good, they're indescribable. First album I've felt so good about in a long time. Since the Foo Fighter's most recent one perhaps?

      New Maximo Park album.

Good stuff. Nothing new. Just an extension of the previous albums. Which suits me just fine.

Going to see them next week at the Apollo in Manchester.

I actually had no idea they had a new one!

I've got the first two, which I quite like. More of the same then?

      Me too buddy.

In the meantime I've been playing The Parlor Mob's album - 'And You Were A Crow' a lot of late - if you like Wolfmother you'll F***ing love this! It's as good as anything I've heard lately!  10/10 :action-smiley-035:

I'm also loving Alberta Cross' debut album - 'Broken Side Of Time' ...

Big, swirly, (blues influenced) roots rock this. I'm hearing everything: from The Band to Band Of Horses and from Depeche Mode through to Kings Of Leon and The Raconteurs in here. A truly excellent debut album and another must for those of us who actually like music. 8/10  :gt-happyup:
