Weller's 22 dreams (been out for a while) but is top notch.

That Oasis song was alrgith but a long way off their best. I'll have to buy the album though since I have all the rest. Be Here Now is me fave album by them, simply because it includes "Stand By Me" and "Don't Go Away"

Stand By Me is my favourite Oasis song.

Oasis have revealed the full tracklisting and artwork for their new album 'Dig Out Your Soul', the follow-up to 2005's 'Don't Believe The Truth'.

The album, set to be released through the band's own Big Brother Recordings on October 6, is set to feature tracks including 'The Turning', 'Waiting For The Rapture' and 'I'm Outta Time'.

As well as the group's new single 'The Shock Of The Lightning', out on September 29, 'Dig Out Your Soul' will feature 'Bag It Up', once mooted as the title track, and 'Ain't Got Nothin'', which leaked in demo form earlier this year.

The album, produced by Dave Sardy, was recorded at London's Abbey Road and mixed in Los Angeles and features songs from both Gallagher brothers, Gem and Andy Bell.

'Dig Out Your Soul''s tracklisting is:

      'Bag It Up'
      'The Turning'
      'Waiting For The Rapture'
      'The Shock Of The Lightning'
      'I'm Outta Time'
'(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady'
      'Falling Down'
      'To Be Where There's Life'
      'Ain't Got Nothin''
      'The Nature Of Reality'
      'Soldier On'

Have the Chemical Brothers remixed Oasis?

Listen to possible Oasis leaks online now

A version of a song rumoured to be a track destined for the forthcoming new Oasis album has leaked online.

The track, which you can hear by clicking on the video below, is purported by various blogs to be a Chemical Brothers remix of a song named 'Falling Down'. However the identity of the remixers is not confirmed, and the likes of Primal Scream producer Jagz Kooner are also in the frame.

The song features Noel Gallagher on vocals, and has been praised by users of various Oasis fan forums.

NME.COM understands the band have been looking at remixing tracks from their new record, and this could be from those experiments.

The Manchester band are set to release their seventh album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', on October 6.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsgPIc9BHBY&eurl=

Obviously the remix won't be on the album but hopefully as the "monty python" album cover suggests, Oasis are going in a different, more pyschadelic road, which would  be refreshing. I've heard that Fallng down will be the second single so obviously its a higlhly rated tune. I haven't been impressed with the past albums since Be Here Now apart from a few songs like "go and let it out".
Be Here Now was an excellent album, it was Oasis being extravagant are very slightly experimental (i.e turning up the volume even more on the amp).  Noel said before recording Dig out your soul that he would like to be more extravagant than in the past, like loads of orchestra etc.

My top 3 Oasis albums would be 1. DM   2. BHN   3. WTSMG.

If you cannot wait for the first single from the new album here is a twenty second preview, yep only twenty seconds, make of it what you may:

I personally thought "don't believe the truth" was alright, just the songs they chose to release off the album were sh*t. "mucky fingers" and "guess god thinks I'm able" are good songs. "lyla" and "the importance of bein idle" are sh*te.

New Single from Oasis : The Shock of Ligthning

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX3h3UWeFiY

In my opinion it is so much better than Lyla which was the first single from DBTT. Good Production, plus there is extra agression and an increase in pace makes this a great Oasis single. I am waiting with expectation for the new album now.

Great album with an early 60's Beatles sound. Listen to it!

I heard a group called "Flobots" on soccer am this morning, so i acquired the album "Fight With Tools" - I have to say im very impressed, its kinda guitars and weird beats with Hip Hop lyrics over the top.  definitely worth a listen.

I'd also highly recommend - Love, Ire & Song by Frank Turner and Entroducing by DJ Shadow

Anyone heard of Friendly Fires? (the band)

Got their album which is self titled, the other week. Loving it!!

It's a bit like The Killers meets Ladytron or the Klaxons.

Truly brilliant album. I heard tracks 'Death' and 'To Lose My Life', both I really liked and decided to buy the album. First hearing I wasn't too impressed, gave it a few more listens over and I'm actually hooked on it now.

It takes some listening to, but with every listen it grows on you more and more. Currently my favourite album.

Of course, going to see them live the other week certainly helped as well.  ;)

Ahh! Did you go the NME gig? Or was it one of their own?

I'm considering going to the Manchester gig on the 5th May, but I'm hesitating at the minute both incase I have any exams the next day and also one of the semi-final matches is on that night, if Liverpool get that far in the competition then it means I can't watch the match!
