also if you want an absolutely brilliant album.

      Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

ive been listening to this for about 2 years frequently and it never gets boring, my favourite album ever.

Mate, we have pretty much the same tastes eh? I love Silent Alarm too!

Loads! My range goes from hardcore like Glassjaw and alternative like Incubus.

But for faves along the lines of Bloc Party and We Are Scientists then I'd name The Killers and Editors.

Radiohead is an all time favourite too, In Rainbows has been immense. Never had a record with so many incredible songs packed in one album. A feast of brilliance!

Details released today that the album called "Dig out your Soul" which will be released on the 6th of October. Their new single "The Shock of the Lightning" will be realeased on the 29th of September. I cannot wait to hear thier new stuff. Loved the song Lord Don't Slow me down, thier last single. Hope they stick to their word about this new approach wherby they are writing their songs based on grooves. Bring it on....

Heard this a couple of days back.

Went to see them at the City of Manchester stadium when they were on their world tour in 2005. The one where the barrier broke.

Going to have a different structure to the songs apparently (not just the verse, chorus, middle 8/break etc). As well as being more phycadelic (sp?).

      Good!

Although I'll be going to the Manchester show, it's good to hear there'll be a UK tour instead of just one off dates.

I'm thinking of getting Coldplay's album. After hearing Violet Hill, i'm not so sure. But then Viva La Vida is a great song.

      I don't know if i should get it.   :-\

Oasis have revealed the full tracklisting and artwork for their new album 'Dig Out Your Soul', the follow-up to 2005's 'Don't Believe The Truth'.

The album, set to be released through the band's own Big Brother Recordings on October 6, is set to feature tracks including 'The Turning', 'Waiting For The Rapture' and 'I'm Outta Time'.

As well as the group's new single 'The Shock Of The Lightning', out on September 29, 'Dig Out Your Soul' will feature 'Bag It Up', once mooted as the title track, and 'Ain't Got Nothin'', which leaked in demo form earlier this year.

The album, produced by Dave Sardy, was recorded at London's Abbey Road and mixed in Los Angeles and features songs from both Gallagher brothers, Gem and Andy Bell.

'Dig Out Your Soul''s tracklisting is:

      'Bag It Up'
      'The Turning'
      'Waiting For The Rapture'
      'The Shock Of The Lightning'
      'I'm Outta Time'
'(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady'
      'Falling Down'
      'To Be Where There's Life'
      'Ain't Got Nothin''
      'The Nature Of Reality'
      'Soldier On'

Have the Chemical Brothers remixed Oasis?

A version of a song rumoured to be a track destined for the forthcoming new Oasis album has leaked online.

The track, which you can hear by clicking on the video below, is purported by various blogs to be a Chemical Brothers remix of a song named 'Falling Down'. However the identity of the remixers is not confirmed, and the likes of Primal Scream producer Jagz Kooner are also in the frame.

The song features Noel Gallagher on vocals, and has been praised by users of various Oasis fan forums.

NME.COM understands the band have been looking at remixing tracks from their new record, and this could be from those experiments.

The Manchester band are set to release their seventh album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', on October 6.

The Chems have worked with Oasis a few times haven't they? Or am I thinking the other way round. Because Noel has sung on a couple of Chems tunes.

Not a bad tune that anyway.

Aye it is. Better than some of their more recent stuff.

Noel definitely sang on Setting Sun.

Love that tune. Haven't heard it for ages. Is that the one where the vid has this girl in it and she's basically 'spanered'? And the police gatecrash a rave and end up dancing?
