Right then this is my first final as a liverpool fan and I had to watch it at home with two of the most pessimistic fans (they only see the bad the players do never good especially if they were poor when they came here ie Lucas, I personally think he's a great player) anyway was very nervous/excited about the match during I was very nervous at some points, most notably during the penalty shoot out my nerves reached a whole new level soo my question is this how on earth have you lot survived this long because we don't do anything the easy way. For me Skrtel or Downing were MOM. Could have played better but we WON and let's not forget who we had to get pass Stoke Away and when we played them they hardly ever lost at home, Chelsea away although that isn't as hard as it used to be and Man City away and home so its not as though we had easy teams. And I'm still buzzing haven't had a drink even. YNWA ringing out around Wembley did it for me shivers down my spine as it was sinking in on what had just happened

Love this picture, you can really see what it means to the players

Also good to see Lucas walking around without crutches hopefully the recovery is going well

      Sorry if I rambled, but I don't care cause I'm  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The only problem with this type of celebrational 'photo, is that the 'keeper is never in them.

      Still boss though.

Skrtel is my player of the season thus far. But I voted Downing for MOTM because he was our only offensive weapon for most of the game. He dared to create attacks, he was always making a run, he challenged defenders, he won corners, he whipped dangerous balls into the box and most importantly he kept our pace alive. Without him I couldn't see where else our attacking would have come from.

I voted for Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtel as my man of the match, but I almost voted for Downing. He created so many chances yesterday by going at the defenders from both wings, and took his penalty very well. Skrts won everything in the air, and scored that clutch goal too. Love him to bits.

Delighted for the boys to win a trophy. For many it's their first, and hopefully not even close to their last with Liverpool :) so f**king amped still.

Anyone know what's going on with Agger?

Think agger suffered a recurrence of the  rib injury he sustained  against  the mancs.

Boss day out, paying for it today.

I concur with JD with Martin Skrtel as MOTM, Henderson on the other hand was piss poor and Carroll faded as the game wore on, but Dirk was immense when he came on.

Some mad flashbacks from yersterday were bouncing on the train into Wembley from where we got dropped off, the mad celebrations at the end, the little mini sing-song we had waiting for a train towards Watford and the all usual shenanigans of a mini-bus full of pissed up lads.

No doubt about congrats to Kenny for fielding strongest team throughout the carling cup. Luis Suarez for his goals in the previous rounds I hope this can be a springboard to more glory for the reds. Think we have won this trophy more than any other team?

Great to win a trophy again after so long but should have been a lot easier than it was! Wouldn't mind us winning a final without a a penalty shoot out for a change though.

Boss day out. Great atmosphere between two sets of fans around Wembley way, which was great to see. Everything was boss apart from some of our play.

Thought we were disappointing for good parts of the game but then Cardiff deserve a lot of credit for not leaving us much space to work through.

Carroll and Henderson disappointed me and Enrique had a bit of a shocker as well. For a final and being newish to the club, they should have been doing better.

But we got there in the end and it was a long time coming. Success breeds success and I believe this will push us on. If it doesn't then some players will have to leave.

Congratulations on your win yesterday, such a cruel way to lose but thats football. Thought both sets of fans were brilliant inside and outside Wembley and even enjoyed a few drinks with your lot!.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

The've shown a kid on LFCtv.
He has the Uruguayan flag. Says Suarez gave it to him and shook his hand.
You'll never see a kid so happy in your life.
Suarez and LFC just gave him the story of a lifetime.

Still buzzing and esctatic with that win!

No club can put on a final like Liverpool. Boy we made it hard for ourselves but I think had the Johnson shot gone in they would have been on the end of a battering, fair play to Cardiff though they showed good spirit and fight.

What kind of mini-bus was that where you have to get on and off trains both ways as well!  Glad you had a good day bud.

Agreed.  There really was no need yesterday to specify LFC and CCFC pubs was there - everyone happily mingling on the streets and then to go into a pub you had to show your colours.  Can understand why they have to do that as standard - but even on Wembley Way when we were having a drink we were stood next to a gang of bluebirds and it was all boss banter.

A Cardiff fan even came over to us and took one of our Don't buy the Sun banners off us to hold up in the ground - whilst a 'Liverpool fan' didn't know what the poster was all about.  Speaks volumes.

      See you next season.

I usually get pissed off at queues but the way to Wembley Park stadium was boss last night, everybody singing songs and having fun. Same goes for the journey inside the trains.

The kind the parks around watford and doesn't pay the congestion fee!!

I think we got a train from Wembley Central, two trains were cancelled, straight away after the announcement a load of us just started singing "We're not racist, we only hate trains!! -You train bas**rds, you train bas**rds"

And songs going back and forth from both platforms. Felt sorry just a little bit for some of the Cardiff fans down there trying to get some of their songs going only to be drowned out by all the reds.
