When has a Celtic manager gone undefeated like AVB did? What he accomplished in Portugal wasn't just good, it was outstanding. He had to beat out Braga in the league, a team so good it met Porto in the Europa final. Benfica was in those semifinals as well (beaten by Braga), and is in the final 8 of the Champions League this season. Portugal isn't England, but it's a far stronger league than Scotland these days.

He's an excellent manager who will win leagues and/or Champions League for someone.

He's alright, wouldn't go too overboard on him, can't be that excellent or he wouldn't have struggled at Chelsea, just face it he's Jose-Lite.

Always risky going to a club with long established stars who have won titles. Clough found that out when he went to Leeds, Rafa when he went to Inter.

I think some club is going to get a decent/good manager at a bargain price. Chelsea paid over £10million to buy him out of his contract, someone is going to get him now for free. (obviously he will still demand big wages)

Genuinely surprised that he only lasted such a short time, but not a lot of clubs, owners or fans seem to be patient these days. Not sure if we dodged a bullet when Dalglish got the job when it was rumoured he was coming here, but happy we went the way we did.
