Our strongest 11

Without injuries and club politics (players not being selected because they're leaving in the summer) what is our strongest 11?

I would say

                       Reina

Johnson      Skrtel Agger       Enrique

                       Lucas

Rodriguez      Gerrard         Bellamy

               Kuyt          Suarez

For more defensive games/moments, Spearing in for Bellamy. Kuyt dropping back to right wing and Rodriquez or Downing on the left.

I think if we had Rodriguez playing regularly, Gerrard injury free and Kuyt or Bellamy with a run of games rather than Carroll or Downing we would possibly be up to 20 odd goals better off this season and inevitably in one of the top 4 spots.

This isn't a dig at Carroll, Downing, Adam, Henderson etc, just saying that I don't think we've had our strongest 11 on too much this season, Maxi has been a loss to the team and Gerrard's injuries haven't helped.

Would imagine most of you would have a diffferent strongest 11 from me anyway

Cant believe anyone is including Henderson Downing or Carroll in out strongest XI

Johnson, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard.

Four of our strongest 11.

Kelly, Carra/Coates, Spearing, Shelvey/Adam/Henderson.

Problem lately being that four of our strongest players have been out.
Spearing and Adam just aren't near the level of Lucas and Gerrard.
Spearing would be fine at the grunt work with the quality of Lucas or Gerrard with him.
Adam played well with the security of Lucas beside him.

Key players have been big losses when they have happened.

That would be exactly what I would pick 

Personally, I think we are at our best when we have Kuyt up front.  His tireless work rate and ability to hold the ball up and then get into threatening positions makes us more dangerous than with Carrol/Suarez/Bellamy up top.  He always keeps defenders on the back foot, and that creates space for others like Luis to work in.  For me it would be:

I personally think that Bellers is best suited to a super sub role.  He just needs to be given at least 20-30 mins to be able to make a real impact on the game.
